At all meetings there is a team of specially qualified vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses. During each race vets follow the horse by car and can attend a casualty in the same response time as the paramedic teams responsible for human casualties. It is standard practise for screens to be fixed around any horse receiving veterinary treatment. This does not reflect the severity of an injury, just allows the vet some privacy and the patient a calm environment in which to recover. Please do not always assume the worst if you see screens around a fallen horse.

In the event of racing being abandoned, refunds on entrance money and car parks will only be made in the following circumstances: a) Abandonment before the running of the first race – full refund. b) Abandonment before the third or feature race, whichever is later – 50% refund
In the event of an abandonment, please apply to the sales manager in writing within three days for a refund.
