‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.

‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

COLD SOBAR: Following its run on 13/10/2023 it was reported that the horse suffered interference in running.

LEITRIM CHIEF: Following its run on 22/4/2024 it was reported that the horse was hampered by fallers. Probable S.P’s: 4-1 Disco Annie (IRE), Fia Fuinidh (IRE), 5-1 Stylish Recruit (IRE), King of Tara (GB), 8-1 Leitrim Chief (IRE), 9-1 Cold Sobar (IRE), 12-1 Ballyfort (IRE)

None ofthese can be ruled out but the vote goes to DISCO ANNIE who was runner-up in an Irish point and arrives at the top of her game over hurdles. She is taken to go in at the first time of asking in this sphere for her in-form yard ahead of fellow chasing newcomer King of Tara who brings plenty of potential too. Fia Fuinidh appeals as the pick of those with experience and can also have a say in an intriguing contest

A chance is taken on DEEP STRATO, who is bred to be a good deal better than such a modest opening mark and more than hinted at ability last season. Newcastle maiden winner Lathan looks on a fair opening mark himself and is second choice ahead of Tees Comp’s Clive, who also leavesthe impression he could step up now handicapping.

Stewards Note:

ONE FOR DAN: Following its run on 13/12/2023 it was reported that the horse made a respiratory noise.

Probable S.P’s: 3-1 Rock of Star (FR), 9-2 Gipsy Lee Rose (FR), Croagh Patrick (IRE), 11-2 Largy Train (GB), 7-1 Whosmydaddy (IRE), 16-1 Uptown Harry (IRE), 22-1 C’Est Quelqu’un (FR), One For Dan (IRE)

ROCK OF STAR was strong in the betting starting out for this yard when falling at the 11th here on his comeback in October so is worth another chance. Gipsy Lee Rose and Croagh Patrick were first and second in a similar event over C&D 2 weeks ago so also need considering.
