Today’s Glenfarclas Cross Country Steeplechase is part of a European race series called The Crystal Cup. As well as here at Cheltenham, the series is competed at racecourses across France, Italy, Belgium, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Following today’s event there are just two stages of the current series remaining; Fontainebleau (April 1) and the final leg at Le Lion D’Angers (May 18).

We are dedicated to taking time: we wait, we learn, we perfect. Share the unique character of Glenfarclas.

RACE DESCRIPTION

A relatively new race in the calendar, the Glenfarclas Steeple Chase for five-year-olds and upwards is run over Cheltenham’s unique cross country course which provides a variety of fences, banks and turns for the runners to negotiate. Run over three miles and six furlongs, this cross-country race is considered one for specialists and therefore previous experience of this unique circuit can be considered advantageous.
