RACE DESCRIPTION

This race is a two miles, two furlongs about 140 yards handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards. The majority of handicaps are designed for horses from within a specific ratings band but this particular race has no rating restrictions attached to it which allows horses with a higher rating to take part. Despite having no rating restrictions attached to it the higher rated horses must still concede weight to their lower rated rivals, which tend to make open handicaps very competitive races.

PLAY SMARTER

The suggestion in what looks a particularly open renewal is GLENCADAM GLORY who is well treated on his Ebor second last year and his prominent-running style is often seen to good effect around here. Not So Sleepy is another likely to be ridden on the pace if getting out sharply from stall 13 and he rates a threat. Cardano and Who Dares Wins, who has twice been placed in this, are also shortlisted. TIMEFORM PREDICTION: 1.GLENCADAM GLORY 2.NOT SO SLEEPY 3.CARDANO (USA)
