WELCOME A very warm welcome to Hamilton Park this afternoon. The summer weather certainly seems to be with us now which is just great and very welcomed. This afternoon’s racing, the first of our double meeting, sees six great races supported by EBF and Racing TV. They are both such great partners and both have the same ethos of supporting racing financially as much as they can. We are very pleased to be part of the group of racecourses who have recently extended the management of our media rights with Racing TV’s group that is Racecourse Media Group, as the profits made by the group are all returned to racing, as our final race of the afternoon is entitled. Over the last few meetings we have seen plenty of regular runners here at Hamilton Park. A popular winner from 24 June, Rose Bandit, from Iain Jardine’s yard runs in today’s Every Race Live on Racing TV Handicap at 1.30pm but has Jim Goldie’s Tanasoq easing ahead, at least in the betting. Tomorrow’s evening of racing is our super Heineken UK Racenight with the British Stallions Studs EBF Glasgow Stakes (Listed) being run for a record purse of £55,250. If you are able to join us again tomorrow night then you will be in for a thrill with the excellent field vying for this prize. It’s certainly been a challenging summer for us all as the Government’s Covid restrictions keep changing. Sadly recent discussions with our local Safety Advisory Group have meant we have had to change our practice for racegoers whilst you enjoy a drink or something to eat, in that we are now having to require you to take a seat to do so. I know this sounds a strange step to take, but we have done everything we can to comply with this requirement by scattering the lawns with as many tables and chairs as we can source. Please make use of them and I do hope this doesn’t detract from your enjoyment of the day’s racing. Hopefully we will hear of some easier steps forward from the Scottish Government soon to get our racedays back closer to the norm we have enjoyed before. Have a great afternoon and I hope to see some of you again tomorrow. Kind regards,
VIVIEN CURRIE MBE, CHIEF EXECUTIVE

THE BRITISH STALLIONS STUDS EBF NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 4) (A HAMILTON PARK 2YO SERIES QUALIFIER) (GBB RACE) RACE DESCRIPTION
This five furlongs Novice Stakes is restricted to two-year-olds but in order to take part all of the runners must meet certain conditions. Unlike a maiden, which is restricted to horses yet to record a victory, winning horses which have run in a maximum of six races are eligible to run. Weights are set according to sex before previous winners are allocated penalties depending on the level at which they have been successful.

MISTY AYR to get off the mark, and it’s hard to envisage her failing to deliver on the back of highly respectable efforts at Royal Ascot and most recently when second in an Irish listed event. THE EVERY RACE LIVE ON RACING TV HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a five furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 65. Like most handicaps on the flat this race is also open to horses that are rated below that particular band. However, all handicaps stipulate a minimum weight and no runner can carry less than that, irrespective of how low their rating is. This is often described as ‘running from out of the handicap’ and is considered a disadvantage.
RACE STATISTICS
Leading course trainer (16-21): I Jardine (21 wins from 204 runners, 10%) runs ROSE BANDIT Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): J Goldie (6 wins from 22 runners, 27%) runs TANASOQ Weightwatcher: AUCKLAND LODGE won off a handicap mark of 74, her rating is now down 11lb to 63. Longest Traveller: DEBAWTRY trained by B Smart, Hambleton, 183 miles.
BETTING FORECAST: 6-4 Tanasoq (IRE), 9-2 Mr Trevor (IRE), 5-1 Rose Bandit (IRE), 10-1 Captain Corcoran (IRE), 12-1 Debawtry (IRE), 16-1 Auckland Lodge (IRE), 25-1 Lady of Desire (GB), 66-1 Rain Cap (GB) RACE SUMMARY: This race revolves around TANASOQ, who regained the winning thread at Newcastle in June and a sloppy start ultimately proved his undoing when going close at Ayr recently. He is 3lb ‘well-in’ and should take plenty of beating, providing he’s quicker off the blocks here. Mr Trevor’s latest effort represented a step forward and he is preferred to Captain Corcoran for forecast purposes. 1-2-3: 1.TANASOQ (IRE) 2.MR TREVOR (IRE) 3.CAPTAIN CORCORAN (IRE)

THE RACING TV HD ON SKY 426 NOVICE MEDIAN AUCTION STAKES (CLASS 5) RACE DESCRIPTION
A Novice Median Auction Stakes is for horses which have run no more than six times in Flat races and is designed to try and ensure that only horses of similar ability take part. It does this by focusing on the breeding of the horses or more specifically, the average sale price of the sire’s progeny, as theoretically horses that were sold for similar sums should be of similar ability. This particular one mile contest is for three, four and five-year-olds.

THE RACING PROFITS RETURNED TO RACING HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a six furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds which have been rated from 46 to 65. Like most handicaps on the flat this race is also open to horses that are rated below that particular band. However, all handicaps stipulate a minimum weight and no runner can carry less than that, irrespective of how low their rating is. This is often described as ‘running from out of the handicap’ and is considered a disadvantage.
