OFFICIAL RACECARD £3

WELCOME TO

Welcome to Huntingdon Racecourse.

Thank you for joining us for what promises to be an exhilarating day of racing, made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Pertemps Network. We are sincerely grateful for their support, which plays a vital role in bringing top-class racing to Huntingdon Racecourse. We’re also very greatful for the support from Punchestown. We’re thrilled to host the first UK date in the Albert Bartlett Triple Crown Series at Huntingdon today, their race will be at 1.55 this afternoon.

Today’s racecard is particularly strong, featuring a superb line up of runners that highlights Huntingdon’s reputation as a premier National Hunt venue. With our stables at full capacity, this reflects the quality of our facilities and the dedication of our team. Special thanks go to our Clerk of the Course, Andrew Morris, our Head Groundsman, Chris Sykes, and the hardworking grounds team for ensuring everything is in perfect condition.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Palladium, the most expensive jumps horse ever at £1.2 million This exceptional horse has captured the imagination of racing fans while attracting new interest and a new audience to racing, it’s a privilege to host the potential future star here at Huntingdon.

Your racecard includes all the information you need for today. For details of future fixtures, scan the QR code below. Thank you for being part of the magic of Huntingdon Racecourse, and for supporting our racing community.

Enjoy the racing, and may you back a few winners.

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.

‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.

‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

PLAY SMARTER

NAP HAND brings lots of potential to this sphere (a fairly useful Flat scorer) and is fancied to take a sizeable step forward from his hurdling debut Kempton third and get off the mark. Nicky Henderson’s useful French recruit La Pinsonniere rates a big threat though with Dinofromberlais, Ilitch and Thickthorn Tom all worthy of consideration for minor honours.

German Derbywinner PALLADIUM has been well touted as a juvenile to follow and, now making his belated start in this sphere, he’s likely to account for some average rivals. Jack Hyde could feature if he builds on his hurdling debut and Karton Plein’s point form gives him some hope despite an underwhelming start under Rules in a bumper TIMEFORM PREDICTION: 1.PALLADIUM (GER) 2.JACK HYDE (IRE) 3.KARTON PLEIN (FR)

2024: NO CORRESPONDING RACE LASTYEAR

Hood worn by No 2. Tongue Strap worn by No 5. Hood, Tongue Strap worn by No 6.

Stewards Note:

FLAMELCO: Following its run on 1/1/2025 it was reported that the trainer could not explain the poor run. TIMETO DAZZLE: Following its run on 28/12/2024 it was reported that the horse made a bad mistake at third last. SOLID FUEL: Following its run on 9/7/2024 it was reported that the horse would prefer a faster surface.

Probable S.P’s: 11-4 Koenigsstern (IRE), 9-2 Tommy Cullen (IRE), 6-1 Lucky Lugger (GB), 7-1 Kayce Dutton (IRE), 11-1 Flamelco (FR), 14-1 Doc McCoy (IRE), Wise Guy (FR), 18-1 Iskar d’Airy (FR), 22-1 Time To Dazzle (IRE), 25-1 Solid Fuel (GB)

TOMMY CULLEN ran a cracker starting out for a new yard after a year off when chasing home a subsequent winner at Doncaster and, given 6 weeks to get overthose exertions, he’s fancied to make another bold bid from a 2lb higher mark. Fontwell winner Koenigsstern has made a really sound start over the larger obstacles and he’s an obvious threat. Lucky Lugger also makes some appeal.

Plenty in with a squeak but the suggestion is KNOCKNAGAPPAGH, who looked the most likely winner before attempting to take the last home with her at Leicester last month. Pearl Island showed his battling qualities when scoring at Uttoxeter recently and nudged up just 3lb, he can give the selection most to think about provided the blinkers have the same effect. Brother Boris can edge out Get Cracking for minor honours.
