A very festive welcome to Market Rasen for one of our most popular racedays, Rand Farm Park Boxing Day at the Races.
My heartfelt gratitude as ever to the sponsors of this meeting; headline sponsor Rand Farm Park, as well as Food Sector Construction, Pallinc who sponsor the flagship Lincolnshire National and Caspian Group. Congratulations also to the Name A Race competition winners Fran Harrod and Tom Cheshire, we wish them all a wonderful day with us
We have seven fantastic races for you to enjoy today, the feature race being the Pallinc Lincolnshire National Handicap Chase, a real test run over a distance of just under three and a half miles, requiring stamina and class to win. Our opening race the Rand Farm Park Stocking Filler Thriller Selling Handicap Hurdle, will provide a different spectacle, as the winner of the race will be sold at auction live in our Winner’s Enclosure immediately afterwards Make sure you head down to watch or even make a bid!
As well as the excitement of the thrilling racing on the track there is plenty to keep the family entertained, with children’s entertainment in the Festive Marquee, live music, face painting and Christmas crafts, and don’t forget there is also the opportunity to meet the Grinch!
Today we say a special goodbye and huge thank you to our colleague, Committee Member, Biddy Dudgeon, who has supported and championed this wonderful racecourse for the last eight years. Biddy will be familiar to many of our sponsors, connections, Annual Members, and loyal racegoers. We cannot imagine how much we will miss the warmth and kindness Biddy brings to our team and join together to wish her well.
This event would not happen without the hard work and dedication of the Market Rasen team who work tirelessly to deliver a fantastic day for everyone attending. I wish all the horses and connections the very best of luck and hope you have a wonderful time here at Market Rasen today.
Warm wishes
Sue Lucas, Chairman, Market Rasen Racecourse

Official equine ambassador for Market Rasen Racecourse
Hally’s Kitchen retired in 2020 following an unsuccessful National Hunt career while in training with Justin Landy, she ran nine times under rules and once in a point-to-point without troubling the judge. She is now owned by Samantha Hunt and is excelling in the show ring!
Hally (as she is known) has competed in several high profile shows including the RoR finals at Hickstead and in an SEIB Racehorse to Riding Horse qualifier at Burghley Horse Trials.
Samantha describes Hally as kind and laid-back - she loves cuddles and being groomed!
RoR is British Horseracing’s official charity for the welfare of horses that have retired from racing. The charity offers education for owners, establishes retraining practices and promotes the versatility of former racehorses in competitions across various disciplines.
The Horses for Courses scheme, supported by Godolphin, showcases the wide range of disciplines that racehorses go on to enjoy after their racing careers have ended, providing racegoers with an ongoing opportunity to meet and learn more about racing’s biggest stars – the horses!

INDEEVAR BLEU returned to win easily at Leicester, having been a novice hurdler to look out for prior to his 13-month absence. He looks a class apart here, though his stablemate Jackpot d’Ainay may give him most to think about. Diamond Koda has been unlucky not to have a win to his name and will likely give another good account.
