Good evening and thank you for your support.

I have been delighted with the reaction we have had from the players over the last couple of weeks. With so many matches, time on the training ground is naturally limited but the squad have quickly brought in to what we have asked of them and they are developing and improving their understanding of how we want the team to play.

We have a good squad, an intelligent squad and a squad who are not afraid of challenges and of doing things a little differently. They have all been very receptive, very committed and supportive and that is all that you can ask.

I feel we have improved with each game, we look so much more of a threat going forward, and while there are still areas where we can certainly still improve and we can learn, the progress we have made in just two weeks has been excellent.

I think we have deserved more than we have got to show for our recent performances. We have hit the woodwork at least once in each of our three games, we have had a goal disallowed, I think we have been on the wrong end of a few decisions and we could easily have secured more points from the last three games. The rewards may not have been there in terms of points, but I hope you are enjoying watching your team and you can see the progress we are making.

I have been asked a number of times whether I want the job permanently but to me that’s not the issue right now. While I am employed by Northampton Town Football Club I will do whatever job I am asked to the best of my ability for as long as I am asked to do it. To be talking about what I want or making headlines around what I want would be selfish and wrong, it is about what is best for the club and if we can get the players playing to the best of their ability, then that is helping the club.

Thank you to all of you for your support. We are missing you at the matches at the moment and I know we would have taken huge followings to both Ipswich and Milton Keynes over the last week. We are sad that you can’t be with us, but hopefully that will change very soon and we still do need your support and the positive vibes that you are sending us. It does make a difference.
