MEET THE TEAM
FRAN
Your background: I started coaching football in 2001. I was enjoying developing young players, so I decided to start my coaching badges. I achieved the UEFA Pro Licence in 2012 while also achieving a degree in PE, so I combined both a teaching and coaching for a long time. What do you enjoy the most about coaching? Coaching has given me the opportunity to keep connected to the game i love. I really enjoy helping young players with their development and understanding of the game to achieve their potential. I think football is a powerful tool to teach players in values, so I like to think the thing I enjoy most is transmitting those values to the players. What is your proudest moment in football? In my 19 years as a coach, I have many and choosing one would be difficult. Probably the day my hometown club chose me to be their first team manager. Also, the day one of those players who I first started with as a coach, Toni Lato, made his debut in La Liga was very special. Also, there was the whole journey we created at Biggleswade United and what we created there. What do you hope to achieve at the FEP? For me, the best achievement will be that each individual finished the programme having developed and grown as both a player and a person.
