24TH NOVEMBER 2020 ROCHDALE 1-1 THE COBBLERS
The Cobblers conceded a late equaliser when they drew 1-1 with Rochdale in November. Harry Smith scored his third goal in two games to give his side the lead after 20 minutes, finding the roof of the net with a towering header from Mark Marshall's corner. Dale equalised with five minutes of normal time remaining, thanks to Stephen Humphrys' stunning free-kick.
3RD FEBRUARY 2018 THE COBBLERS 0-1 ROCHDALE
In-form Cobblers fell to a narrow defeat when they lost 1-0 at home to Rochdale in the 2017-18 League One season. Calvin Andrew tapped in Matt Done’s low cross from the left on the hour mark to give Dale their first league win since November and their first away win of the campaign. The loss ended the hosts’ four-game unbeaten run.
17TH OCTOBER 2017 ROCHDALE 2-2 THE COBBLERS
John-Joe O’Toole missed a late penalty as the Cobblers came from two-goals down to draw 2-2 away to Rochdale earlier in the campaign. Ian Henderson volleyed home midway through the first half before doubling his tally on the hour mark when David Buchanan shoved Matt Done and the striker converted the rebound to his own saved penalty. Ash Taylor stooped low to head in from a corner to pull one back with 20 minutes to go before Buchanan picked up a loose ball on the left and fired home to equalise a few minutes later. With five minutes remaining, Jim McNulty tripped Brendan Moloney giving O’Toole the opportunity to complete a remarkable turnaround. However, the midfielder’s penalty was saved by Josh Lillis and the match ended level.
