PAUL TISDALE has been sacked by Bristol Rovers after less than three months in charge.

The former Milton Keynes Dons and Exeter City manager won just five of his 19 games in charge, losing 11.

Rovers' head of recruitment Tommy Widdrington has been placed in temporary charge of first-team affairs at the Memorial Ground until a successor is appointed.

PLYMOUTH manager Ryan Lowe has signed a new contract keeping him at Home Park until the summer of 2024.

The 42-year-old took over at Plymouth in 2019 after leading Bury to promotion from League Two and did the same with Argyle last season as they finished third in the fourth tier.

Lowe’s assistant Steven Schumacher has also signed a new deal for the same period.

AFC WIMBLEDON have signed former Tottenham Hotspur forward Shayon Harrison.

Harrison, 23, who has joined the Dons as a free agent after leaving Dutch second division team Almere in February, came through the Spurs academy.

Whilst at Tottenham he spent time on loan with Yeovil Town and Southend United, before moving to Melbourne City in Australia in 2019.

HULL CITY forward Keane Lewis-Potter has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Potter, 19, is closing in on 50 appearances for the Tigers.

A review of the latest match action in Sky Bet League 1. Anthony Scully and Tom Hopper scored for league leaders Lincoln who had to come from behind at Wigan after Callum Lang had put the hosts in front. Hull surrendered a two goal lead at Doncaster, a result which allowed Peterborough to move into the top two, a Sammie Szmodics brace and a late effort from Jonson Clarke-Harris securing a 3-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon.

Mallik Wilks (2) and Jacob Greaves had the Tigers 3-1 up at half-time against Doncaster who rescued a late point through veteran James Coppinger. Fifth-placed Portsmouth slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to Blackpool with Jerry Yates scoring the game’s only goal on 82 minutes while Sunderland recorded a 3-0 win at Burton thanks to goals from Grant Leadbitter, Lynden Gooch and the in-form Charlie Wyke. Accrington, who started Saturday’s round of games in the top six, had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury despite taking the lead through Seamus Conneely. At the other end of the table, Scott Twine scored an injury time winner for Swindon who came from behind to beat Crewe 2-1 at the County Ground, Rochdale were held 0-0 at home to Plymouth and Bristol Rovers suffered a 2-0 defeat at Gillingham for whom John Akinde scored twice.

In the two remaining games, Paddy Madden equalised for Fleetwood in a 1-1 draw against Charlton, who led early through Jayden Stockley while Ipswich’s home game with Oxford ended goalless.
