Whilst the wet winter and spring of 2024 provided plenty of challenges in providing good ground for racing, the dry spring we are experiencing this year is not without its problems, as we have been watering the track for the past 10 days to ensure good safe jumping ground for our equine stars.

The Henderson Suite offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, course as well as both the parade ring and winners enclosure. Situated on the ﬁrst ﬂoor of the Ramshaw Stand, offering wonderful views of the course Tickets for The Curlew Room are available (minimum 2 persons) which provide your own table for the day. Providing wonderful views of the racecourse the rooms have their own TOTE betting facility, Closed Circuit TV, well stocked bar as well as a seating area at the rear of the boxes.

THE CHASE BAR

Situated on the ground floor of the Ramshaw Stand this attractive bar with a stained glass backdrop and flagged floor has its own TOTE betting facility, closed circuit TV and allows access on to the club lawn for perfect viewing of the racing.

Hexham Racecourse employs veterinary surgeons whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse

In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the Racecourse’s Veterinary team.

Qualiﬁed Paramedics and Doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey.

If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving the treatment.

This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment.
