WELCOME E TO HEXHAM

Whilst the wet winter and spring of 2024 provided plenty of challenges in providing good ground for racing, the dry spring we are experiencing this year is not without its problems, as we have been watering the track for the past 10 days to ensure good safe jumping ground for our equine stars.
Thanks go to our sponsors, The European Breeders Fund who have kindly contributed to the Junior National Hunt Hurdle, Pointing Pointers a group of Point to Point enthusiasts who have sponsored the Hunter Chase, “Horslyx” who present all winning trainers at the course with a 5kg tub of lick

We are grateful to both The Angel Of Corbridge and Brocksbushes Farm Shop, both local companies for their kind support.
Our next meeting on Saturday 3rd May heralds the start of our spring season with 6 fixtures taking place over 7 weeks. Please remember plan ahead and purchase your tickets in advance of these days and save money.
Whether you are a regular racegoer or a first time visitor we value your custom, hope you have had an enjoyable and successful day and hope to see you again in the future.

The vote goes to TOROSAY, who returned to form back here when third to Gibberwell last month and she now enjoys a handy pull at the weights with that rival, while the addition of cheekpieces could help eke out a bit more. Dr Shirocco makes each-way appeal with conditions in his favour along with Kicksaftersix, who is interesting now faced with a stiffer test. Hat-trick seeker Halfway House Lad shouldn’t be too far away and the selection’s stablemate Return Fire would be a threat if on-song.

Stewards Note: LUNAR CONTACT: Following its run on 20/1/2025 it was reported that the horse stopped quickly

CULLIN HILLS shaped well on her C&D hunter debut. A recent point third to one-time Cheltenham Festival winner Summerville Boy suggests she arrives in good form and she looks the one to beat. Lunar Contact disappointed on his final 2 outings for Tom Ellis but his handicap hat-trick in the autumn is still fresh in the memory and new trainer Susan Corbett is in form so he might be the one to give Will Milburn’s charge most to do.

JAPETUS gets the nod to defy a penalty A market move for Knockeranna Rose would be interesting given Susan Corbett had a well-backed bumper winner at Newcastle recently Toby Bulgin has also tasted bumper success this season so Solal Nonantais would also enter the reckoning if the betting speaks for him.
