Make the next step in your human resources career a challenging and rewarding one. As the field of human resources continues to raise complex issues, a need exists for human resource managers who will be capable of responding to these ever-changing challenges. Becoming a leader in the profession starts by choosing a graduate or certificate program that can empower and inspire you. The U.S. Department of Labor forecasts that job opportunities for managers and specialists in human resources, training and labor relations will grow faster than any other occupation through 2016. Opportunities for career advancement are within your reach. At Emmanuel College, we are here to guide you towards that next step. Our degree and certificate programs in human resources cover the bodies of knowledge needed to prepare you for advancement in your career. Be ready to immerse yourself in a program that will both academically and personally challenge you to bring out your best.
A different kind of classroom. A more engaging experience. Small, discussion-based classes inspire a more interactive way of learning. Small class sizes allow for greater interaction among students and professors. With an average class size of 15 students, you have the ability to engage in lively classroom discussions, share your unique experiences and learn about a variety of professional environments. Our curriculum embraces the many aspects of what it takes to be a successful human resources professional, including designing compensation and benefits plans, implementing re-organization efforts, developing training strategies and creating employee communications initiatives. Our Boston campus is located in the heart of the Longwood Medical and Academic Area, adjacent to some of the most respected health care institutions, for-profit employers and cultural centers in the city. Emmanuel’s proximity to this world-renowned area has allowed the College to form strategic partnerships to enhance the degrees and certificates offered through the Graduate and Professional Programs, including onsite classes with employers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In addition, we offer convenient suburban campuses in Woburn and Quincy. Each seven-week class meets just once a week, enabling you to fit academics into your professional and personal schedules. Most students complete the degree program in two to three years. We have rolling admissions and enrollment opportunities multiple times per year, which help to accelerate the completion of your graduate degree or certificate.
Your professors will balance theory in human resources and organizational effectiveness with real-life cases. Our faculty members bring experience from employers such as Verizon Wireless, Huron Consulting, Hewlett Packard, government agencies and some of the world’s best medical centers. Bringing together current knowledge and theory, they address the ever-changing needs of human resources professionals today in ways that go far beyond typical textbook learning. Your professors and advisors will do more than just teach. This kind of experience simply can’t be matched at larger schools serving working professionals.
