BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING FOR REGISTERED NURSES

Make the next step you take in your nursing career the most rewarding one. As a nurse, your life revolves around caring for others. But the path your nursing career takes next goes beyond that dedication to discovering which of the new professional nursing opportunities are right for you. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Emmanuel College will open you to many new horizons in the field of nursing. We recognize that in order for you to take the next step in your nursing career, you need a curriculum specifically developed to meet your range of learning needs. We will provide you with an individualized plan of study that will prepare you for whatever academic and professional success is next for you. By choosing Emmanuel College, you will gain knowledge and expertise in health promotion and public health nursing. You will develop ideas to improve the care you deliver to patients, assume a leadership role and become a life-long nursing scholar. The BSN program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

If you want to take the next step in your career, you have come to the right place. We offer relevant and inspiring classroom and clinical experiences. Our small class sizes allow for greater interaction among students and professors. With an average class size of 15 students, you have the ability to engage in lively classroom discussions, to share your unique experiences and exchange views and clinical knowledge. Our BSN program is dedicated to more than just providing you with a degree – it is about fostering collaborative professional relationships that further enhance learning for all. Our Boston campus is located in the heart of the Longwood Medical and Academic Area, adjacent to some of the most respected health care institutions in the nation. Emmanuel’s proximity to these health care institutions has allowed the College to form strategic partnerships, including onsite classes with employers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Caritas Christi Health Care System. Our classes meet every other week, enabling you to fit academics into your professional and personal schedules. All modified accelerated courses include a major element of independent study. Nursing classes meet six times during a semester and are offered at Emmanuel’s easy-toreach Boston and Woburn campuses. Most students complete the degree program in two to three years. We have rolling admissions and enrollment opportunities multiple times per year, which help to accelerate the completion of your degree. You can also set your own pace with flexible program scheduling.

We facilitate your learning – and we are with you all the way. As respected professionals with years of experience in nursing, the Emmanuel faculty members maintain a strong and up-to-date command in their areas of expertise. As understanding educators, they cultivate lively dialogue so that you and your fellow students share first-hand perspectives on patient care, health care issues and other key subjects. Your professors are clinicians, researchers and teachers who serve as true advocates for you. You have a full-time member of the nursing faculty as your dedicated advisor. Throughout your time in the program, the Emmanuel faculty members are committed to responding to your individual needs and to helping you get the most from your plan of study. Our goal is the same as yours: your successful graduation.

The Emmanuel Difference Our principles of education are rooted in ethical values and social responsibility – we strive to develop professional leaders like you who make an impact in the world. With our decades-long tradition of values-based education supported by outstanding clinical practicum placements, we empower you to become the professional you want to be: a nurse leader who makes a positive difference in health care. When you begin the journey to advance your nursing career, our promise is that we are with you, and we take every step possible to support your goals.
