That may sound crazy to some of you as Old Man Winter might not be ready to let go, but the calendar says spring is upon us, and he can’t hold on forever. It is true that the area really comes to life as the weather warms, but don’t discount the experience of getting outside even when it is colder. For fishing enthusiasts, it doesn’t get any better than the pair of lake chains we have in Coldwater! Whether you have an auger and a snow suit or a sun hat and a rowboat, you’ll want to get your bait in the water.

Coldwater is known for its lakes. We have a lot of them, and they are truly unique. The North Chain, located northwest of town, is a fisherman’s paradise. It is a long chain, consisting of seven all-sport lakes connected by channels, covering around 1,100 acres and running roughly seven miles from north to south. With public boat launches spread throughout the chain, it is accessible to everyone. There is a sandy county beach at the southern end, and lakefront campgrounds are everywhere.
