WHAT’S NEW 26 YEARS OF FREEDOM

We know that you, being a good South African, know that April is freedom month. But did you know that Young Living began to grow and was incorporated in April 1994? Yes, this is indeed a fact. Young Living Essential Oils and the South African free and democratic society are both 26 years Young this year! So while Nelson Mandela was instrumental in creating a society where we can live freely, D. Gary Young was creating a healthy world where we can feel free. April 1994 was indeed a special time. We were given freedom by two great leaders of that century and through this freedom, we’ve been afforded so much opportunity. Of course, it has taken more than 25 years for Young Living to land in South Africa, but now that it’s here, you better know, it’s here to stay! Another thing that’s here to stay is our service delivery. We know this time during the lockdown brings with it a lot of unease and worry about the future, but we want you to rest assured knowing that the entire Young Living Africa team will continue to work around the clock to bring you the support, advice and products that you need. Our member services phone lines may be down but our mailboxes are always open. So if you have any complaints, queries or concerns, do not hesitate to send them through to africasupport@youngliving.com. On this subject, we’d like to remind members that although our products support a healthy lifestyle, we are not able to make claims for treatment of any kind of sicknesses or ailment. Therefore, we must stress that no Young Living products may be advertised, marketed or otherwise represented as a means to treat, cure or prevent Coronavirus or the spread of the Coronavirus. Such claims are not permissible by law and are strictly prohibited by Young Living. Furthermore, members are to refrain from referencing – in social media or other presentations, in-person or by electronic means – COVID-19 or Coronavirus in connection with our Young Living products or business. We want to encourage you to use this time wisely. Come up with innovative ways to keep yourselves and your teams inspired as you continue to build your Young Living business. In support of this, we have shifted all our face-to-face meet-ups into virtual ones that you can connect to via Zoom. Lookout for our Sales & Education section where more information on this is provided. In that section you will also read up on how we’re doing things a little differently for the upcoming 2nd edition of ‘Live Your Passion Rally’ taking place on 4th April. On our social media you might also recognise a few familiar faces sharing their ‘Lockdown Stories’. This is in an effort to build community spirit and drive unity amongst our Young Living Africa family. Be sure to get involved and share some of the ways in which you are making the most of this time in lockdown and remember, “Our behaviour is a function of our decisions, not our conditions.” – Stephen R. We have recently acquired HPA (Health Products Association) membership that allows us a stronger voice in the Industry to promote and protect the Health products Industry – www.hpasa.co.za We would like to welcome Zambia to the Young Living Africa Family. This is now another NFR country added to the existing list. If you have friends, family or colleagues there, be sure to share the Young Living Lifestyle with them.
