INTRODUCTION TO THE RARE BRAND MARKET The Rare Brand Market has been trading since 2009. Bored of high street retail outside of London, and unenthused about shopping online with a soulless click click, the Founder decided to bring some theatre back into shopping. Firstly by hiring the acclaimed and wonderful Pallant House Modern Art gallery www.pallant.org.uk and arranging a very stylish indoor shopping market. Celebrating small and unique bijoux brands wanting to get in front of the right customer. After three years doing events at Pallant House, in local country Barns, and also at The Goodwood Estate and The Kennels www.goodwood.co.uk/kennels/kennels.aspx, the Rare Brand Market graduated to The Goodwood Racecourse and over 10,000 sq ft of exhibiting space. The Rare Brand Market has become locally renowned for their Christmas events and the most stylish place to shop on the South Coast for Christmas Gifts. We have grown slowly and organically, and have always paid huge attention to quality of PR and Branding, thus enabling the business to grow steadily. 2018 saw the start of our Wellness Wednesdays and the curation of a Gin Zone for the Goodwood May Racing weekend. The Rare Brand Market suits a young rare brand who is trying to sell to a stylish ABC1 Customer, a brand who perhaps cannot afford to do all the London events on offer and wishes to get in front of the right customer without breaking the bank and grow their database regionally. But we also attract brands which have a retail shop on the South Coast and just wish to boost footfall or web business by doing a South Coast event. Our events are far more reliable than any form of print advertising and far better value. In retail the pay-back in terms of tactile contact with the customer is invaluable for business growth and consumer awareness, let alone the post event web footfall you will stimulate.

WHY CHOOSE THE RARE BRAND MARKET? We have always been very fussy about which brands we book and where we hold our events. We have also worked hard to project manage and style our events in a very unique way. Add that to some fantastic branding, marketing and PR over the last 8-10 years and the end result is that we now have a very loyal following in Sussex. Over circa 5000 customers have registered with us to hear about our events on our mailing list, customers who feel we are "Sussex's most Stylish Market”. We don't attract touristy footfall, most of our markets have always been on a week day thus attracting a local lady (have to say it is mainly the ladies!) who have the time and money to shop. We seem to have two clear consumer groups shopping with us, both ABC1 - the “Yummy Mummy” and the cultured/creative older ladies both of whom don't only want to resort to shopping online to find rare products, they want to enjoy the shopping experience and buy from brands with stories to tell. Three pieces of PR that sum it up for us…Home and Gardens Magazine (international) said we were the "must do" Christmas market, Coast Magazine (National) voted our markets as a "Top ten thing to go to on the South Coast!" and James Hood the editor of "Fine Sussex" who are the ambassadors of all things "Fine and wonderful in Sussex" wrote a stunning piece of editorial about us, to read it please type the following into your browser: http://therarebrandmarket.co.uk/Rare-Treat.pdf

WHY DO AN EVENT IN CHICHESTER? Below you can see the high-end successful brands that already see the value of Chichester as a premium retail centre. The City Centre also has the major players like: M&S, Waterstones, H&M, Top-Shop, New Look and many many more. Chichester has a population of 106,445 which is fairly evenly split between young, working age and older people. For broad age categories Chichester falls very much in the centre of the age breakdown measures for the Sussex county. Chichester is renowned as a prosperous area with substantial ABC1 population stats recorded within the city itself, but also in the rural areas within a ten to fifteen mile radius of the city centre. The affluent Petworth is a mere 20mins away by car. Chichester City centre retail is virtually 100% full proving Chichester has proved resilient to downturn due to established local wealth. Check out our local venues too: http://www.pallant.org.uk (biggest modern art collection outside TATE. The acclaimed; http://www.cft.org.uk Then there is the http://www.sculpture.org.uk (which is the biggest outdoor sculpture collection in Europe. We can’t forget http://www.goodwood.co.uk/home.aspx attracting huge international numbers now to their events. We have http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/east-head/ on our doorstep, the area is a massive second home region on the South Coast and has been nicknamed the St Tropez of the UK, helped by the amount of celebrities having a home there! The harbour village’s of Bosham, Birdham and Itchenor are a Mecca for sailing and boating enthusiasts, hence again why the second home consumer is big in the area. Finally, with the addition of the nearby Hindhead Tunnel, SW London is only a 70min commute, so the “Down from London” consumer is a huge group now and stronger than ever due to the x6 local prep schools within a 20min radius of Chichester city centre.

OVERVIEW OF THE CHRISTMAS MARKET AT GOODWOOD RACECOURSE Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st November 2019, 9am – 4pm: Back at Goodwood again for our 11th year, the footfall has ranged in previous years from 2,500-3,000. Last year to celebrate 10 years we expanded the market and had circa 150 brands booked, with a new zone for our “festive food court” area. Brands aim to cover everyone’s Christmas shopping lists and this year the event includes a new on site food court to allow more people to brunch, lunch and afternoon tea whilst there. Using our close relationship with The Goodwood Estate, once more we will gain their press/print media and social media support on the run up to the event. In 2020 we will work hand in hand with Goodwood Senior Management from a promotional activity point of view to promote your brand. Voted by Homes and Garden Magazine and Coast Magazine as the “Must do” Christmas Market … This really is the market that the Sussex Lady attends to get all her Christmas Shopping ticked off her list!

STANDS START AT £300 for the three trading days

MARKETING CAMPAIGN ❑Adverts in carefully selected lifestyle magazines and newspapers ❑PR + Editorial Coverage ❑Database Marketing – we do various forms of database marketing, through our own database (circa 5000) and also the databases of other businesses that we network with who also serve customers that are ABC1 demographic ❑Associated Marketing – we negotiate with other businesses who serve the same customer as the one coming to our markets and try and work together with them on associated marketing opportunities. ❑Posters – we put up A4 and A3 portrait posters on carefully selected notice-boards regionally. Once again concentrating on areas where we know potential footfall will see them. ❑Road Signs – 50 to 75 of these go out on major road junctions (council’s permitting, some areas are not permitted and so we have to be careful as fines can be charged!) ❑AA Road signage which goes up two days before the event ❑Road Banners – TRBM have negotiated some key roadside locations for banners to be put up, usually about 6-8 get put up, they range in size. ❑Charity Support – At each event we raise money on the door for a chosen charity, we work with the charity on any associated marketing work we can do together. ❑Viral Marketing – Facebook, Instagram and we ask Brands to help us with this too. ❑We release press packs and professional photography to local newspapers ❑Goodwood Estate work hand in hand with us to generate awareness about the event with their own databases. They run a social media campaign to their racecourse, health club and dining club databases.

STAND PRESENTATION As we have been called ‘‘West Sussex’s’’ most stylish Christmas Market we like to think that we live up to our name.
