Concept

a fairy tale. a classic, oh-so-pretty, wedding dream. Sophisticated, magical and memorable. e inspiration is elegance, dreaminess and classic princess ballroom. ink chandeliers, blush pink, bundles of white roses and hydrangeas. Now add on sheer draping, gold shimmer, a white dance floor and a classic monogram. top it off with lush ribbons and a champagne tower and you get the idea. Now cue the setting. John’s Island beach Club sets the stage with the ocean as the backdrop for the ceremony, an endless pool around which to enjoy cocktails and a tent-ready lawn, all in a polished, classic and sophisticated resort. Now we’re ready for a romantic evening and dancing the night away.

Personal Flowers

e personal flowers are classic, polished and in shades of white.

e bride’s bouquet is a medium so round shape. monochromatic, but with different blooms, with an emphasis on smaller, delicate blossoms such as sweet pea, rununculus and so, ruffly roses and peonies. touches of lily of the valley are tucked into the bouquet, flush with the line of the bouquet. e stems will be short, and partially covered with a lush double-faced satin cream bow. e six bridesmaid’s bouquets are the same and made with roses and hydrangea. e flowers are drawn from the bride’s bouquet, and are slightly smaller with short stems, but with the same finishes. ribbons will hang as per photos shown (not too long). e groom’s boutonniere is a simple, classic rose, medium in size, and surrounded by a so leafy backer. finished with a black grosgrain ribbon. e six groomsmen boutonnieres are classic – three tiny spray rose buds in a creamy blush, finished with a simple thin black grosgrain ribbon. ree pretty rose corsages (2 moms, Gail) and four boutonnieres (2 dads, richie, omas) round out the personal florals.

Ceremony

e ceremony utilizes the ocean as a backdrop, with the horizon in the distance. e ceremony is on the terrace overlooking the pool and will be simple, as the bridal party is large and will fill the small space. two large urns on pedestals flank either side of the ceremony and are overflowing with white blooms. e runner is covered in blush and white petals (real or silk). e rain plan requires the ceremony to be under a tent, or indoors in the dining room. tbD. Urns are moved to either side of the band or tent entrance for reception.

Cocktail Reception

Cocktails are around the pool. is is a large space, and stunning as is. We want to give it wedding “sparkle” and create impact with a few gestures. first, a large floral monogram will float in the pool. a large bar arrangement punctuates the space, and high boys have fun and impactful linens, adding color to the wedding. tabletop arrangements are small and sweet.

Escort Card Table

as guests leave cocktails to make their way to the wedding tent, they pass under a gazebo, a natural stopping point for an escort card table and impactful moment. î ˘e outdoor furniture is cleared from the area, and a large round table is placed in the center of the space, with a floral covered linen. on the table is a champagne tower with coupe glasses, filled for pick up as guests arrive for dinner. (as an option, a large urn arrangement centers the table and is surrounded by escort cards and flower blossoms.) flanking either side of the tent are two large, fabric-covered boards, garlanded, and criss-crossed with soî‚? blush velvet ribbon, with escort cards tucked into the ribbons.

Reception Tent

e tent, tucked up close to the gazebo, fills much of the lawn. Directly across from the tent entrance we see the dance floor and bandstand. e bandstand is flanked with the two large ceremony urns on pedestals. e dance floor is white, with the couples’ monogram adhered in ecru in the middle of the floor. (or projected.) e layout is classic, with round tables on either side of the dance floor and a long kings table across from the band (seating for ~21). Chairs are classic gold charivari, with ivory cushions. tabletop design is elegant and regal. High and low arrangements spread throughout the tent. e high arrangements on glass trumpet stands are surrounded by small satellite arrangements. mercury votives are bundled in abundance around the base. low arrangements are surrounded by mercury pillar stands, topped with ivory candles. flowers are white and cream, with very little greens. Hydrangeas and roses form the primary arrangements, and the low arrangements consist of single flowers. ere is a gold presentation charger, gold-rimmed water glass and gold flatware combine with china from the Club. a white hemstitched napkin tied with a so, washed silk ribbon completes the look. over the dance floor hangs one large chandelier and eight medium and small chandeliers throughout the tent. (or, three large chandeliers, with one over the dance floor.) e chandeliers hang lower than typical to create a sense of intimacy and for maximum impact. Draping is in sheer white fabric, hanging in large swaths around the tent. It also hangs like drapes, gathered and billowing around the vertical poles in the (hopefully) open-sided tent. a large floral frame, hung in the tent, is covered in wedding blossoms and used as a Instagram and photo backdrop.

Cake

maximum impact! a large white cake, simple in design, but large! tucked around each layer are ruy, real hydrangea blossoms. a classic monogram is the only other pattern breaking up this grand installation. a pin spot highlights the cake, and a blush sequined linen drapes to the floor.

Color Palette blush pink, gold and creams

Floral Palette

e floral palette will be monochromatic, but with different blooms, with an emphasis on smaller, delicate blossoms such as sweet pea, rununculus and so, ruffly roses and peonies.
