I’ve been photographing love stories for the past 13 years, and will travel everywhere and anywhere to document them. My vision for t he shoot was to capture a calm summer look wit h neutral,

toned rentals t hat allowed t he florals to pop. The sof t toned woods, neutral accents and capiz shells of fered t he per fect textures t hat brought in a minimal coastal vibe. That per fect calm summer feel! The capiz shells were tastefully used as place cards, whic h were dipped in coloring to complement t he flowers. I also placed t hem wit h a unique design on t he cake. We had a gorgeous model showcasing a romantic gown whic h stayed in line wit h t hat summer style.

We do not expect our couples to know that tables and linens need to be set before centerpieces arrive, but every minute counts on a wedding day. Don’t forget to factor in enough time for guest movement. A ceremony could be twenty minutes long, but that doesn’t mean that your cocktail hour can start right away. The Chandelier of Gruene is located on a spectacular, secluded acreage in the Texas Hill Country just minutes from historic Gruene, Texas. As you enter the wedding venue, an oak canopied lane leads you to a picturesque open-air chapel nestled amongst a grassy meadow surrounded by majestic towering oaks. Throughout the property you will find architectural treasures such as cathedral ceilings, hand-troweled walls, lanterns and several glass chandeliers.

The venue offers a 10,000 square foot event barn sitting over a large pond with a bridal suite, groom’s loft and over 3,000 square feet of outdoor patio area. Outside of the event barn is a spacious courtyard area that attaches to the elegant Hidden River Ranch chapel and a gorgeous outdoor pavilion that sits on the edge of the pond.

Our floral install was draped in ivory, white and beautiful fuchsias, burgundy, red and hot pink flowers. Featuring phalaenopsis orchids, snapdragons and some fun little burgundy mums, we had agonis as a burgundy color accent for the greenery to really make the other colors stand out. One Thing I Learned...

DUE TO COVID-19, WE POSTPONED OUR WEDDING, NAIVELY THINKING THAT THINGS WOULD HAVE GOTTEN BETTER. WHEN THE TIME CAME TO MAKE A GAME-TIME DECISION ON WHETHER WE WANTED TO POSTPONE AGAIN, WE DECIDED WE DIDN’T WANT TO PUT OUR LIFE ON HOLD. THE BIGGEST LESSON I LEARNED IS THAT IT’S NOT THE FLOWERS, THE CAKE OR EVEN THE WEDDING DRESS THAT MAKES YOUR DAY – AS LONG AS YOU GET MARRIED TO THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR LOVED ONES, THAT’S TRULY THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS!
