Amundsen Park’s programs and activities returned Monday, according to Ald. Chris Taliaferro. Negotiations over housing asylum-seekers from South and Central American countries at the 1900 North Austin building north of the park also have been halted, he said. Taliaferro, whose 29th ward includes the park and the surrounding Galewood and Montclare communities, announced the news in an email to constituents Wednesday.
