Pocket park plan shifts gears
Remembrance, Popelka parks to undergo rehab work this summer; Reiger delayed until 2023 By ANDY VIANO Editor
Two of the smaller so-called “pocket parks” now being maintained by the Park District of Forest Park are scheduled for a facelift this summer, according to Executive Director Jackie Iovinelli, a pivot from an earlier plan that called for a major renovation of Reiger Park in 2022. Park officials previously said a decision from IDNR on the OSLAD grant was expected this past January. Iovinelli said if the park district moves forward with any work at Reiger, located at 1526 Circle See POCKET PARKS on page 4
