The Cook County State’s Attorney has charged a 20-year-old Riverside man with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm for allegedly shooting a 19-year-old Broadview man twice during a drug deal that went sideways at a Forest Avenue apartment complex on Jan. 26 at about 7 p.m. Police arrested Nicholas M. Radkiewicz in front of the Riverside Police Department at about 4 p.m. on Jan. 27. Officers were pulling out of the police station parking lot in order to get a video statement from the victim at Loyola University Medical Center when they recognized Radkiewicz, who told them he was there to surrender.
