How We Met We first met at a local pub in Geraldton on a Thursday night in 2005. I had gone out with my friend from work, which I had done every week since moving to Geraldton. I had become well known to the bar staff at this pub and on this particular night I was given a rose by one of the bartenders. Colin had spotted me from across the pub with this rose and proceeded to approach me in which he asked if he could have my rose, I responded with nah, bugger off in a very cheeky way. Late in the night we all ended up at the nightclub. My friend wanted to go home but I didn t so she asked Colin aka Colsie if he would watch me and take care of me. He then did this cute I m watching you gesture with his fingers. He drove me home and was a gentleman as I did the jingling of the keys which I had seen on the movie Hitch but he didn t get it and I didn t get a goodbye kiss or even his phone number. I didn t even know if I would see this guy again. He got my number eventually the next weekend.

The Proposal Colin and I flew to Melbourne for the Easter long weekend in 2012 with the cover of making it a birthday trip for me as I was turning 30 in June and we both absolutely love Melbourne. His brother had given us a present that he asked us both not to open until we were over there. It had a picture of a flash restaurant on the front which made me believe that it was a disguised restaurant voucher but it was actually a disguised engagement ring. Colin opened it while we were at dinner but had somehow made it look like the present was empty, but he had hidden the ring very quickly and when dessert came out he pushed the box across to me and asked if I would marry him. I was shocked, as I wasnÂ’t expecting it at all and overly excited that I forgot to answer him and put the ring straight onto my finger.
