Given the size, diversity, scope of equine activities and the unique representation of a spectrum of breeds and disciplines, Ocala clearly has rights to the title. Now, there is a unifying entity to harness the collective power of this diverse industry to help grow, educate, unify and promote the horse industry in Marion County. The Ocala Horse Alliance (OHA) is the newly formed organization that will champion this effort. After conducting a market condition analysis, the Leadership Group was formed to begin to address a unifying, growth and advocacy impact effort for the equine industry. The OHA Leadership Group is comprised of key stakeholders from various sections of the horse industry including breeders, trainers, trail riders, discipline representatives, manufacturers, feed companies, therapeutic riding, horse rescue, elected ofﬁcials and numerous other groups representing the diversity of the horse industry in Marion County. The OHA is now positioned to launch the new organization and create a ﬁve-year strategic plan designed to unify, promote, educate and grow the horse industry in Ocala.

POLO Team Resolute LLC Brings Polo Back to the Florida Horse Park The Florida Horse Park is joining forces with Team Resolute LLC members David Eldredge and Lauren Proctor-Brown to bring Polo back to the Florida Horse Park. Chukkers are held Monday’s and Wednesday’s at 4 pm from mid November to April, with matches and additional practices held dependent on the park’s schedule. The schedule can be found online at Team Resolute’s website. Spectating is free, so come on out to watch! Club Match Dates: January: 19th and 26th February: 2nd and 29th March: 22nd & 29th April: 5th, 19th and 26th (dates subject to change) Practice Mondays & Wednesdays at 4pm running to April 22nd, 2020. Please note there will be no practice February 17th, 24th or 26th due to other Park events.
