My design work is all about making people’s lives beer! Everyone wants “fabulous”, but going well beyond simply creang an aracve space, my goal for each project is to design spaces that funcon beer for my clients to save them me and help reduce their stress. Equally important to me is designing spaces that feel beer, incorporang color psychology along with contemporary and ancient design principles to interpret the client’s personality and style as an integral part of the interiors. When spaces funcon beer and feel beer, then life is beer and more beauful!
Linda has designed the interior of our 90 year old remodeled home and did so with excellent detail and aenon to our tastes. We have subse quently had her design and decorate our second home condo and even brought her to Texas to do our townhouse in Dallas. She is currently redo ing another condo in Florida and she is the only person we will consider engaging for this type of service. Her sense of style, selecon of quality materials, and use of colors is exemplary and makes each of our homes unique yet familiar and comfortable. She’s the best. - Mike Sweeney

The fun continues! The Ocala Polo Club continues its success with players and ponies alike finding their strides playing year round in Ocala! The community continues to grow around polo and it’s truly magnificent to see everyone wel comed with open arms and bond around a common love of the sport.
With each season, the community of the Ocala Polo Club has grown on and off the field. The Booster Club grew through its inaugural year and the boost ers have gotten behind the scenes access to the players, extra polo rules and strategy lessons and bonded over their shared love of the sport. We are excited to welcome our new Booster’s Club President, Donna Woodin O’Brien for the 2023 season! New this year, Horses & Heroes day is growing to a whole weekend and now includes The Polo Ball, a gala & silent auction event which honors our veterans and raises money for the Wounded Warrior Project, on February 24th, 2022 with the annual match on Sunday February 26th, 2022. The boosters can be found every Sunday, cheering loudly and dressed for each week’s match theme! From fancy hats for the Laneway Cup to crowns for the Julie Braswell Memorial, Sundays are always a fun time and the Boosters do it right!
Tailgating at Sunday Polo is a fabulous, family-friendly activity on a Sunday Afternoon in sunny central Florida. On any given Sunday, our spectators enjoy easy access to polo as they drive up fieldside and tailgate right from their vehicles. Well-behaved dogs are always welcome and take center stage at our Polo for Pooches day! Don’t forget to stretch your legs at half time for the divot stomp and join in to win prizes at the Halftime Challenge! You can try your hand at swinging a polo mallet from the back of “Woody” the wooden horse. Don’t worry he has a pretty steady head and all ages and levels can give it a go!
Once you’ve tried your strokes on Woody you’ll have a new appreciation for the fledgling players hitting in the outdoor field in the Horseman’s League. Our polo school, under coach David Eldredge, has been hard at work introducing polo to new riders in the area from a variety of disciplines. Summer brought several new graduates from the Arena League to the grass who found great success on the outdoor field! Congratulations to Katherine Glynn on winning Most Im proved Player of the Summer Season! Our polo school runs arena and outdoor practice weekly and provides private lessons to teach riders the strokes and rules of the game. Polo is accessible to riders of all ages and experience levels who wish to expand their equestrian horizons.
The influx of equine enthusiasts to Ocala has also brought several seasoned polo players to the Ocala Polo Club from across North America. These players
were attracted to the welcoming community of Ocala Polo; some have moved to Ocala full time while others commute for the season or for weekends. Whether it’s a long or short stay, players are excited to play in Ocala and be a part of the community of polo here. We would like to welcome all of our new players and extend congratulations to David Eldredge and Lupe Castro, recipients of the Player of the Season Awards for Winter and Summer ‘22 respectively.
The Ocala Polo Club believes strongly in supporting Women’s Polo and has developed the Ocala Polo Women’s League, which hosts matches monthly and is now expanding to two flights hosting 4 to 6 and 8 to 10 goal Women’s polo. The Women’s League has grown to be a tight-knit group of women support ing women to excel in the sport. The Ocala Women’s League inspires women to succeed on and off the field. Special congratulations to Laura Willson and Lauren Proctor-Brown, who won the Women’s Player of the Season award for Winter and Summer ‘22 seasons respectively. We’ve partnered with the Florida Thorobred Fillies to celebrate the Julie Braswell Memorial Cup and Beth Rose Cup annually in December and February respectively. Women are succeeding not only in the Women’s League but in the Arena, Horseman’s and Tournament Leagues as well. Polo is a unique sport that allows women to compete on the same stage as men, both professionally and as amateurs. Horses give us all the power to do things we might not be able to do on our own.
After a winter of successful polo, Ocala Polo takes a break in the spring to trav el with players to other Polo Clubs in the Southeast and Florida. This past year, the women of Ocala Polo traveled to the Sarasota Women’s Challenge earning themselves a place in both the 4 goal and 8-10 goals Finals. Congratulations to all our players! Summer brings Saturday evening polo! Mother nature is a true polo fan, with summer afternoon storms cooling off to make a weekly 6pm polo match just right. The local community on and off the field enjoy Summer Polo Saturdays from June thru September.
Whether you have never seen polo before or played for several years, the Ocala Polo Club has something to offer you. From a Sunday tailgate, to your first lesson, to tournaments, you can find everything you are looking for. We look forward to playing in sunny central Florida for many years to come and invite you to come join the fun!

Change is inevitable and the horse industry is no excepon. HITS has been the industry leader and the largest producer of hunter/jumper horse shows in the United States for over 40 years. Entering the 2023 show season, HITS will enter a new era thanks to new ownership by Traub Capital Partners (TCP) who will bring a new vision to equestrian sport.
to partner with HITS, a clear leader in the equestrian event world,” said Brian Crosby, Managing Partner of TCP, aer the purchase. “HITS’ legacy and experse align with TCP’s philosophy and approach, and we believe we are uniquely posioned to acvely support them in their strategic growth plans.”
TCP purchased HITS in March with the plan to leverage its exceponal history, track record and reputaon as part of its vision to bolster and further invest in the five show locaons currently operated by the company, while looking to expand the naonal footprint.
The first step was taking over the lease of Del Mar Showpark, allowing HITS to make a return to the West Coast. HITS has already begun work improve the exisng facility and create an incredible venue for equestrian athletes of all disciplines to
enjoy. Having built two facilies on the West Coast at the HITS Desert Horse Park at Indio and Thermal, the team at HITS is well-versed in the needs of exhibitors, sponsors and spectators on the West Coast to create successful compeons throughout the year.
HITS plans to reopen the doors of the Del Mar Showpark in in July of 2023, operat ing all seven of the current hunter/jumper dates allocated through US Equestrian (USEF) as part of the newly restructured California show schedule.
“We’ve really missed this facility the last few years,” said professional rider Keri Poer of Tres Palomas. “It’s such a beauful locaon, super horse-friendly and really is the center of Del Mar. [HITS] has such a strong background in the sport, and knows what it takes to put on a nice horse show, and knows what it takes to create a beauful facility. [HITS] sees the vision that we see as professionals, and
the potenal this place has to be one of the best horse show venues in California.”
HITS also has plans to host dressage com peons at Del Mar Showpark beginning in 2024, as it connues its dedicaon to the discipline. HITS already hosts worldclass dressage events at HITS-on-the-Hud son and Lamplight Equestrian Center, and looks forward to adding Del Mar Show park to the porolio.
HITS has already established itself as a premiere producer of Dressage shows, having hosted the U.S. Dressage Fesval of Champions at Lamplight Equestrian Center since 2020. Next Year’s Cham pionship will be held August 21-2, 2023. Addionally, HITS will host the Region 2 and Regions 8 Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Cham pionships, presented by SmartPak, at Lamplight Equestrian Center and HITS-onthe-Hudson, respecvely.
“We
The next step for HITS came at the end of October when they welcomed Joseph “Joe” Norick as the new Chief Customer Officer. This new role allows Norick the opportunity to focus on client needs and the overall customer experience at each of HITS’ world-class compeons. Norick’s addion is reflecve of the consumer-oriented philosophy employed by TCP.
As Chief Customer Officer at HITS, Norick will lead its renewed focus on creang posive experiences for both the horses and riders. “Equestrian sports are constantly evolving, and I am looking forward to working with the HITS team to exceed the expecta ons of all of our exhibitors,” said Norick. “My vision to enhance our facilies includes improving the drainage and foong in our compeon areas, as well as upgrading our amenies, such as food services, exhibitor hospitality locaons, and even rest rooms. We will be working to create a friendly, relaxed atmo sphere at every HITS venue for every HITS customer.”
The biggest and most excing change coming to HITS though? New foong. On November 1, HITS announced that it is part nering with Sharn Wordley and Craig Marn of Wordley Marn Premium Equine Surfaces to resurface four rings at HITS Ocala. Commied to creang the best experience possible for the ex hibitors and horses at Post Time Farm, HITS will be working with these world-class experts to re-create the Grand Prix Ring and Main Hunter Ring, as well as the corresponding schooling rings for the 2023 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit.
“HITS is entering a new era, and we understand the importance of providing the best possible surfaces for our customers,” said Show Manager Rian Beals. “We are thrilled to be working with Sharn and Craig, who bring their experse as internaonal riders to their business and have created incredible rings for the best in the business. This is just the beginning of the many changes we plan to implement in the coming years at HITS, and we are thrilled to begin this process at HITS Ocala for the 2023 Winter Circuit.”
Wordley Marn provides equestrian arena architecture, con strucon, installaon, and foong products to create a personal ized, ideal riding environment. Founded by internaonal grand prix riders Sharn Wordley and Craig Marn, Wordley Marn has installed more than 450 arenas throughout the United States and has become the choice of Olympians, top athletes, and owners from show jumping, evenng, and dressage who value Wordley Marn’s exceponally high standard of execuon.
“We are very excited about the new team at HITS and the op portunity to create these top-quality rings for HITS Ocala,” said Wordley, an Olympic rider who represents New Zealand. “The team at HITS has an incredible vision that we are thrilled to help execute. This project is especially close to our hearts because we will be here riding and showing each week. This will allow us to monitor and maintain the arenas throughout the compeon to consistently deliver a quality experience for the exhibitors. We are dedicated to creang an exceponal surface for all of the HITS customers to enjoy!”
The 2023 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit will get underway with 10weeks of hunter/jumper compeon on January 17. The Grand Prix Ring, Main Hunter Ring and both schooling rings will feature the new Wordley Marn Premium Equestrian Surface. All other compeon rings are also being reworked, with regraded bases and freshened top material. Addional amenies will include enhanced exhibitor hospitality, upgraded wifi, the new premium tent stall opons, renovated restrooms, an on-site school and new landscaping. Lydia experienced the power of myofascial release therapy firsthand after a fall down a flight of concrete steps. She did myofascial releases on herself, starting with the topmost muscle layer and working deeper as the tissues released.
The body has 6 to 10 times more fascia than muscle fibers. Fascia coats all fibers, including nerves. Changing muscle memory by releasing the fascia releases the toxins, which contribute to making you sore.
