PAPILLION - Grab a turkey leg and step back in time at the Bellevue Berry Farm when royalty ruled and knights really were dressed in shining armor. Full contact equestrian jousting six unique performance stages featuring local, regional and national talent, more than 100 costumed characters throughout and many one-fo-a-kind artisans await you at this majestic Renaissance Festival

This event and attraction has been so widely attended and enjoyed in the past that this year, another weekend was added to the calendar. So now there are three differently-themed weekends featuring three completely different adventures for guests.

May 4-5 is Bards and blades

May 11-12, Celts and Creatures

May 18-19, Minions of Misrule appear.

Another add-on is a 3rd Mead Tasting activity. Each tasting includes three different mead samples, a Lambic beer taste, a sweet treat, and memories of a grand time. In the past, this favorite activity sold out quickly, so go to the information tent immediately upon your arrival to reserve your tasting. Time slots available for this delicious event are 11:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. daily. Tickets are $20 per person.

Another event to consider is attending May 12 for Mother’s Day. Treat her to the annual Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet pre-set in the Hungry Moose catering building. Enjoy hot egg etrees, sweets from the pastry selection, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, salads and sliced hame. Moms are eligible for 1/2 price tickets of $20. (Regular fee is $40 for others.

Entertainment at the Renaissance Festival in Nebraska is always family friendly.
Performances scheduled include Bad Hatter Improve, Baratok Belly Dance, The Knotty Bits Pirate Circus, Oops the Entertainer, Jewel in the Lotus and more on a daily basis.

General Admission tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for children. This is a kid/family friendly event. Hours open are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Parking is free nearby with shuttle service to the gate or you can park near the entrance for $5.
