The results of their study reveal the best ski resort in North America as Mammoth Mountain, Crowley Lake, eastern California. It’s top elevation on more than 3,500 acres of skiable terrain is 11,053 feet. There are 173 trails to explore. Not only did Mammoth Mountain emerge as the best resort for optimal ski conditions due to the 795cm of snowfall each year, it also landed in the top 10 resorts across 3 categories. The resort ranked in 5th position for best resort for beginners skiers and 8th position for best resort for advanced skiers.
Mammoth Mountain isn’t the only ski resort in North America to rank within the top 10 for optimal ski weather. Both Whistler Blackcomb and Palisades Tahoe landed themselves among the top 10, in 2nd and 5th positions respectively.
