The annual Okie Noodling Tournament will take place in Pauls Valleyand features a fierce noodling competition-the sport of fishing for catfish using one’s bare hands. This world-famous event wouldn’t be complete without an array of spectators, coupled with a catfish cook-off. The day is filled with family-friendly activities, along with retail and food vendors. Okie Noodling began 20 years ago at Bob’s Pig Shop and has grown to be the world’s largest hand-fishing tournament.

This year’s event will be preceded by an Okie Noodling Eve Concert featuring Kat Hasty opening for The Eli Young Band. It will be at Wacker Park in Pauls Valley on Friday, June 16, from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $25 online or at the gate.

Gannon Fremin & CCREV opening for Shane Smith and the Saints on Saturday Night June 17th. Saturday’s Tournament/Concert is free with the exception of $5 for parking in Wacker Park.

Then the tournament and festival will take place on Saturday, June 18. This is the 18th annual Okie Noodling tournament. The festival has great food and beverages on site for your enjoyment. Support the Okie Noodling Festival and all of its vendors! New Oklahoma liquor laws state you cannot bring outside beverages into festival and festival grounds.

No one will be allowed to bring in or take out any beverage from the designated festival area. Everyone consuming any alcoholic beverage, must be over the age of 21 and provide a valid ID to a tournament official prior to receiving a wristband. You must have a wristband to purchase alcoholic beverages. Everyone consuming alcohol on the premises must have a wrist band.
