arrickville fi refighters Jeff Lay and Jed Kelly will appear in only their yellows on the pages of the 2013 NSW Fire Fighters Calendar, all in the name of
charity. Jed Kelly, 34, and Jeff Lay, 48, both of Marrickville Fire Station, are taking part in the fundraising calendar, with proceeds from all sales to go to the burns unit at Westmead Children’s Hospital. “It’s something that we feel very passionately
about and we wanted to support that,” Mr Kelly said. The boys made the cut in February this year, after they sent their photos in for selection from hundreds of fi re fighters across the state. Mr Kelly will appear as the February model and Mr Lay will appear in July. “It’s the fi rst time we’ve ever done it, it’s a bit of the unknown,” Mr Kelly said of his fi rst pin-up experience. “Usually guys would be scared to do it because we’d get ribbed by our mates,” Mr Lay said. “Me being one of the older guys, if not the oldest guy, it’s been really rewarding for me.”
