xpressions o f I nterest ( EOI) a re b eing collected f or t he r edevelopment o f the old hospital site on Lilydale Street, Marrickville. In December 2013, Counc il resolved to undertake the EOI process regar ding the si te’s future and a decision to provide a Community Hub on the site was made. “ Council remains commi tted to buil ding the Community H ub and the much needed new larger library,” said Mayor Jo Haylen. “Council dec ided tha t the EOI process is the best way to deliver this new facility in an economic ally responsible wa y while also protecting the heritage values of the site.” The EOI process is expected to close in April, and Council will subsequently consider a formal process for seeking tenders for the site. The communi ty has been consulted on the future of the site since April 2011, through various workshops. For more informa tion on the major projec t go to www.marrickville.nsw.gov.au.
