Timing your social media posts so they get the best possible impact

One of the keys to success when posting on social media is knowing what time you should be doing so. If not, your post will just get lost in all of the other content and never reach its target market.

Analysing data from tens of thousands of social media accounts, a new study by Sprout Social reveals the best times to post on social media in 2022.

Best time to post: overall

Overall, midweek mornings have the highest level of social media engagement. This applies to the days between Tuesday and Thursday at 9am or 10am. Sunday is the worst day to post on social media.

Facebook

Facebook engagement has shifted from mid-morning to early morning. Early weekday mornings have the highest consistent engagement and are regarded as the best times to get eyes on Facebook posts. Mondays through Fridays at 3am are the best times to post on Facebook. Saturday is the worst day to post on Facebook.

Instagram

Instagram experienced a surge in popularity between 2020 and 2021, reaching two billion monthly users by 2022. The increase in users has resulted in an expansion of the top time periods to post on Instagram, with midday engagement on weekdays increasing in comparison to previous years.

The best times to post on Instagram are as follows: • Every Monday at 11am. • Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning at 10am until 1pm. • 10am – 11am on Thursdays and

Fridays.

According to the study, there are also opportunities for increased engagement in the evenings and on weekends.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn engagement is highest during the workweek, is most concentrated during midday, and does not extend too far beyond the workday hours. It’s unlikely that you’ll receive much engagement on LinkedIn posts over the weekend, as engagement drops dramatically.

The best time to post on LinkedIn is Tuesday starting from 10am until 12pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays are the best days to post on LinkedIn while Saturdays and Sundays are the worst.

Your dream job awaits at Asuria

Employment services provider, Asuria, has been helping people to reach their job and career goals for over 25 years. From July, they’re bringing their expertise to job seekers in Penrith.

Asuria will be opening up their doors to people in Penrith interested in taking up new roles as Job Coaches/ Mentors and support staff – positions which community engagement officer, Cynthia Jennings, said are all about working closely with participants to establish their career goals, and truly making a difference in their lives.

“The way I help participants discover their dream roles is by really sitting down and getting to know them, building a rapport with them, and establishing trust and understanding,” she said.

Though applicants don’t need any experience in the employment services industry, some qualities that make a successful Asuria Job Coach/Mentor include a combination of empathy, the ability to build relationships, a commitment to excellent customer service, and everyday office skills, with things like Microsoft Office, Word, or Excel.

But, above all, they’re looking for people with a big passion for helping others.

This mindset sits at the heart of the company, with Ms Jennings speaking highly of her experience with Asuria.

“At Asuria we’re all a part of something which we call Enterprising Heart, which really sums up what it’s like to be part of the company,” she said.

“One of the things I love most about the role is the teamwork, the supportive environment, and the culture that everyone helps to create. To know that we’ve all got each other’s back is one of the things that makes this such a special team to be a part of.”

You never know what you’ll get out of a career with Asuria, but if you’re anything like Ms Jennings, it might just be your dream job.

“You’ll know when you’ve found your dream job, when you turn up every day wanting to put your best foot forward for the people you’re there to help. I’m very lucky because I’ve been able to find that with Asuria,” she said.

Job opportunities with Asuria are open now. So if you’re interested in seeing if you have what it takes to be an Asurian, visit www.asuria.com.au/careers.
