TROY DODDS

he Penrith Panthers have drastically overhauled their membership packages and cut ticket prices in an effort to get fans back to Centrebet Stadium. A ferocious marketing campaign partnered with three new-look jerseys for the 2014 season and a host of new recruits has put the Panthers in their best position to get crowds flocking back into the stadium since they won the Premiership title 10 years ago. Star players Kevin Kingston, Tim Grant and James Segeyaro this week put the call out to Western Weekender readers to join the Panthers as a member for the 2014 season, while players

also took to the phones this week, personally ringing current members to seek their renewals for next season. Panthers boss Phil Gould is confident that the club is heading in the right direction and is thrilled with the take-up of memberships so far. “It’s been wonderful to see the great response from our fans to the new 2014 member packages. Over 3,000 fans have already signed on,” he said. “We have recruited really well for 2014, including Jamie Soward, returning local junior Peter Wallace, Brent Kite, Elijah Taylor and Tyrone Peachey who will all add great balance to our squad. With our Under 20’s winning the prestigious NYC Holden Cup this year, we have many talented youngsters on the verge of breaking into the top grade as well.”

Mr Gould has urged local fans to buy a membership and show their support for the team that represents us all in the local area. “We want to make sure our members understand the significant role they play within our club. Members are essential to our long term success,” he said. “Our appreciation will be shown via a number of member only events throughout the year to bring our loyal fans closer than ever before to the players and the action.” The Panthers have put together the best value for money membership options they have ever had, with monthly payment plans included and the opportunity to save up to 50 per cent on game day ticket prices.
