WHS Becomes State Winner in Samsung Contest WELLS – Wells High School has been selected by Samsung Electronics America as winner for Maine in the state round of competition in the 2014/2015 Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest. He happened to follow Bruce during a defining period in his career, and during what may have been the industry’s most dramatic year, 2012, the year of the Great Canadian Syrup Heist and the warmest year in history. The result is The Sugar Season, published by Da Capo Press and Perseus Books. The

Ogunquit Receives Down East Magazine Honor OGUNQUIT – After a precedent-setting ban on lawn pesticides passed last November in Ogunquit, Down East magazine chose the town as the recipient of the 33rd Down East Environmental Award. Ogunquit is the first community in Maine and the second in the United States (following Takoma Park, Maryland) to prohibit the use of insect killers, weed killers, and fertilizers on all land, public and private. “Ogunquit was an obvious choice for this year’s award, and we’re proud to have protectors
