Authentically Irish Annie

Community Spotlight

Anne Lynch at Her Pub on Route 1 in Ogunquit. (Photo by Maura Curley)

By Maura Curley Special to The Weekly Sentinel OGUNQUIT On March 17, everybody claims to be a wee bit Irish. But meet Annie Lynch, and you’ll know the real McCoy. Her beautiful brogue will have you begging for some stories from her native country, not just on St. Paddy’s Day, but anytime of the year. Lynch, who was reared in Muroe County Limerick, has a master’s degree in education, has taught in the classroom, worked in information technology, and is passionate about nutrition and homeopathic medicine. All this has naturally prepared her to do what’s in her blood- run an Irish

pub. Annie’s family owned a pub in Limerick, which has now been passed down three generations to her nephew. She started working there when she was eight years old “as soon as I was big enough to pull a pint” Annie now runs Annie’s Irish Pub in Ogunquit, which is opening Friday, March 14 through Monday March 17 and then on subsequent weekends until warmer weather finally arrives. While this is the second season for Annie’s Pub, Lynch is no stranger to the hospitality business. She previously owned another pub in Galway, before moving to Maine five years ago

and running The Wayfarer in Cape Porpoise. Annie’s in Ogunquit might just be the sum of Lynch’s previous establishments, and most evocative of her roots. I met Annie at her pub last weekend, after a colleague suggested I write about Irish myths for the upcoming holiday. Annie’s seemed like the perfect place for a little Gaelic education. I arrived a day early for our chat, amidst a cyclone of pre-opening cleaning with rags, buckets, hardware and furniture strewn about. Less than 24 hours later, I stepped into a spotless space; a picture perfect See LYNCH page 35...

Their collections were featured in publications such as “House Beautiful” and “Country Living.” Mary Emmerling and other authors have included images of their collections of tramp art, majolica, and art pottery in their reference books. Latin dancing will be a highlight of the Caribbean Dance Party, featuring a range of Latin and reggae tunes.

Event to Help Neighbors A World Away SOUTH BERWICK Most of the 200 people who show up each year at the Caribbean Nights Dance Party really just want to dance to the contagious Latin and reggae tunes of Combo Sabroso, a band that comes up each year from Boston. But for five years, guests at the annual event have played a central role in paying teachers, buying uniforms and in general educating children at the Eben Ezer School in the rural town of Milot, Haiti. “We love playing this gig because people who come are ready for an awesome dance party, but also because we

their lives of their theater experience at Marshwood. “Being Elle Woods, the lead in Legally Blond, during my sophomore year gave me confidence in my acting and in my life,” said Bella Etro, who will play Carmen in Fame. “I really didn’t see myself as that great but having all that responsibility as a sophomore gave me confidence in myself.” Nicole Benedetto, who played Alice in Alice in Wonderland this fall, learned about perseverance. “I wrote about sticking with it and how even though I didn’t get into the district musicals a in middle school, I got in eighth grade and ended up having a great experience,” Benedetto said. West chose Fame this year knowing she had a group of students who could rise to the occasion. “I have been interested in the production for a while and I knew this year’s group could take a lot away from the experience,” she said. “It’s a very challenging show, but I knew they would be able to succeed in producing a great show.” Fame, the Musical, is based on a 1980 musical film by David De Silva, which led to a six-season television series as well as the play. They are a wonderfully talented group,” said Tanya West, director of Fame and high school music teacher. “Every class has a few really passionate and talented singers and actors, but this class happened to have more than its share.” Many of the graduating seniors also saw themselves growing up on, or thanks to, the Marshwood stage. You have probably spent many years slowly watching your health get worse and worse. When it comes to thyroid disease, 5 out of 6 people will not get better on medication alone. This is a fact. Many doctors do not know this, and treat you solely based on a 1960’s model of care (TSHAND T4). There is a lot more to be done nutritionally if you are to live a long and healthy life. lt’s a sad fact that many women live their lives solely for others, and don’t spend enough time on themselves. Do yourself a favor, just this time, and take an hour out of your day to come to my talk. We change lives daily in our office. Don’t you think its time you reinvented yourself ? Please read the testimonials to the left. I am sure some were just like you at one time. I hope to see you at my talk.

~ Arts & Entertainment ~ All-Star Musicians Fuse Jazz, Americana, World, Classical Music KITTERY On Saturday, March 22, the talented and versatile musician, composer and arranger Mark Shilansky will return to The Dance Hall with his band of music makers, Fugue Mill. Fugue Mill weaves jazz through the fabric of Americana, world, and classical music, creating a complex and inspired blend of musical and improvisational styles. Such composers as Leonard Cohen and Samuel Barber feature original group pieces with music. Violin and mandolin augment the quartet of piano, guitar, bass, and drums, creating a transparent and vibrant palette of improvisation and counter-

point. Band members have been featured with such artists as Luciana Souza, Esperanza Spalding, and Regina Spektor. Throughout his creative career as a pianist and composer, Mark Shilansky, an assistant professor at Berklee College of Music, has been a consistent presence as a sideman: as a member of the Luciana Souza quintet and as an accompanist of vocalists, such as Lisa Thorson, The New York Voices, Kris Adams, Carolyn Leonhart, Rebecca Parris, and Patrice Williamson. Special Guest Kathleen Flynn - voice. The performance is at 7:30p.m. Tickets are $12 in ad-

invisible threads that connect us all, in a show that celebrates the wearing of the green. “When I first started playing Irish music, I had a lot of strong ideas about it, and almost every one of them was wrong. My thinking has evolved so much. Now I’m wrong in completely different ways,” said a chuckling Farley. Kevin Farley is a local musician and Irish entertainer who delights fans with new shows of jigs, jokes, and fun facts, as well as shows about disappointment, blessings in disguise, and how the most seemingly trivial circumstance can open doors to unimaginable wonders. Common Workout Mistakes Those already a few months into their New Year’s resolution to get fit may find

certain behaviors could impact just how much weight a person can lose and how efficient their workouts may be. For those who want to increase the measurable results of their workouts, try to avoid these common mistakes. Not giving it enough time. Many people want to see immediate results when they begin a new exercise regimen. While such instant gratification is possible, it’s foolish to expect to wake up and look in the mirror after a week’s time and see a complete body transformation. Many health experts say a safe weight

loss goal is one to two pounds each week. For each pound of fat to burn, you need to shed 3,500 calories weekly. Do this by exercising and reducing caloric intake. Don’t give up prematurely. After a few months your clothes may fit better and you can see a change in muscle tone and overall fitness. Sticking with the same routine. Routines can make it easier to manage everyday life. For example, waking up and going to bed at the same time each day helps many people maintain the energy they need to live life to the fullest. But routine is not always a friend with regard to exercise.

When you do the same exercise routine over and over, your body becomes acclimated to that routine and your muscles recognize the motion. As a result, your body doesn’t have to work as hard to do the workout. Altering your routine means you’re essentially keeping your body on its proverbial toes. This will help you to burn more calories and even prevent you from getting bored with your workout. Skipping strength training. Cardiovascular activities like running on the treadmill can certainly burn calories, but cardiovascular exercise alone is not enough to achieve optimal health. Strength training helps build lean muscle and strengthen bones, so it’s important to make both cardiovascular and strength-training exercises a part of your workout routine. Maintaining a moderate pace. Much like doing the same exercises over and over, sticking to the same pace will lull your body into complacency. Vary the pace of your workout so that you move through intense, moderate and slow movements. Higher-intensity parts of the workout will get your heart pumping and burn calories. Making unnatural body movements. Movements that mimic the body’s natural movements will be more effective at toning muscles. These movements include bending, stepping, jumping, and running. Unnatural movements may not be practical, and they may increase your risk of injury. Working out alone. When you workout alone, you do not have the benefit of friendly competition to motivate you as you exercise. With no one to egg you on, you may be content to stick to a certain number of repetitions instead of trying a little harder. A partner can provide camaraderie and help you make the most of your exercise regimen. Ignoring possible injury. No one is immune to injury, which can result from lifting weights that are too heavy or using improper form. If you feel you are hurt, don’t make things worse by ignoring an injury. The body needs time to recover from injury, and ignoring an injury can lead to additional problems that will only extend that recovery time. This article was provided by MetroCreative. BUSINESS & FINANCE Can You Afford To Retire? The need to save for retirement is something we start hearing about from the moment the begin our careers. Whether it’s parents extolling the virtues of retirement plans or employers who encourage their employees to take advantage of their retirement programs, saving for retirement is never far from our mind. Many workers are deciding to delay their retirements. Those undecided about when they want to say goodbye to the office should consider the following benefits to delaying retirement. Fewer years to worry about financing your lifestyle. Thanks to advancements in medicine and more and more people living healthier lifestyles, men and women are now living longer than in years past. While living longer, healthier lives is a plus, it does have an effect on retirement. Because people can now expect to live longer, they must ensure their money lasts long enough. By delaying retirement, men and women will have fewer retirement years to finance. More chances to save money. It might be your dream to retire early, but you could be doing yourself a great disservice by ending your career prematurely. Men and women at or near the end of their careers are often making more money than they ever have, which enables them to save more than they have in the past, especially if children are full grown and supporting themselves. Take advantage of these high-salary years, even if it means working an extra few years. If you do, when you retire you could have substantially more in savings than you would have had you retired early. Stay socially active. In addition to economic benefits, delaying retirement has social benefits as well. Many people get the bulk of their social interaction with colleagues and coworkers. When men and women retire, these opportunities for social interaction can dwindle rather quickly, and it’s not

uncommon for retirees to battle feelings of isolation. Delaying retirement allows you to easily maintain contact with friends and colleagues, and can lead to a better quality of life. The chance to give back. Many older professionals view retirement as being put out to pasture, where their years or experience aren’t utilized. However, individuals who delay retirement can use their extra years around the office as an opportunity to leave a legacy for the next generation. This is something professionals find especially valuable as their retirement draws nearer and they want to leave a lasting mark, be it on their

company, within their industry or in the community. Delaying retirement provides more time to build this legacy, and can create a greater sense of fulfillment. BUSINESS & FINANCE Financial Focus: Take Steps to Protect Your Family Business

When it comes to protecting both your family and your business, you need to carefully consider your moves. You face plenty of

challenges to keep your business running smoothly — but it can be even more difficult to pass the family business on to your children or other relatives.

ship to the next generation. Why is it so hard to keep a family business intact? Sometimes it’s because no one in the family is interested in running the business. Family businesses frequently disintegrate because they lack a succession plan. Discuss the thoughts and preferences of your family members on their future involvement with your business. It’s essential that you know who wants to really do the dayto-day work and who is capable. You’ll also want to discuss other key business-succession issues, such as the retirement goals and cash flow needs of retiring family owners and the personal and financial goals of the next generation of manage-

ment. In developing a plan for the future of your business, you will need to determine who will control and manage the business, and who will eventually own it. These decisions will depend on a variety of factors, such as the time horizon, goals and financial needs of the family members involved. Your succession plan could be based on a family limited partnership. Under this arrangement, you, as general partner, would maintain control over the day-to-day operation of your business, but over time, you could gift or sell limited partnership See PROTECT page 17...

...PROTECT from page 16 shares to your family members. Eventually, you would also relinquish control of the business to the person who is going to run it. Another component of your succession plan might be a “buy-sell” agreement, which allows you to name the buyer for your business — such as one of your children — and establish methods to determine the sale price. Your child could then purchase a life insurance policy on your life and eventually use the proceeds to buy the business, according to the terms established in the buy-sell agreement. We’ve just skimmed the surface of techniques that might be used alone or in combination to carry out your business succession. The transfer can be complex, so you will certainly need to consult with your legal and financial professionals. It’s important that you fully understand the business and tax implications of any succession plan, as well as the finan-

cial effects of a plan on your family members. Once you’ve created your succession plan, you’ll need to work with your legal advisor to put it in writing and communicate it clearly to all family members. Surprises are welcome in many parts of life — but not when it comes to transferring a family business. You want to leave your family a legacy. And if that legacy is the family business, do whatever it takes to pass it on so that it benefits everyone involved. This will take time and planning — but it can be well worth the effort. Animal Welfare Society Safe Haven Humane Society WELL When Safe Haven’s adoption center is full, kitties lounge in the bathroom. There’s a cat tree in the bathtub, with blankets around it, another soft blanket on the window perch, and blankets on the shelves above the toilet. It might not be fancy, but it’s home to kitties in need. Recently the bathroom has been home to two wonderful kitties, Yukon and Chloe. Chloe is a black beauty with a white splash of color on her chest. Yukon, who is all black except for a few white hairs on his chest, is quieter than Chloe. He’s a real catnip aficionado. Last Sunday, both kitties were allowed to wander into the Safe Haven kitchen. Yukon leaped up on our counter. With his hind legs and both front paws, he fished out what he wanted from our huge toy basket. He pawed and pawed until the whole basket tumbled to the floor. Then he pawed thru the pile to find catnip pillows made by Safe Haven volunteer Lynn Civali. Made with fresh

organic catnip, Yukon was in paradise. The photo is Yukon on a catnip high. Both kitties are very healthy, young (ages 4 and 5) and playful. They’d be excellent in a family with older children. They’ll add boundless fun, energy and love to your home. Chloe and Yukon are available as a bonded pair in our Together for Life program, so one of the adoption fees is waived. Come visit Yukon and Chloe at Safe Haven and bring catnip! Shelter Needs: Friskies brand canned cat food, especially poultry flavors. Temptations cat treats as training rewards. Cat beds are looking shabby and tattered, if you can donate some comfy ones everyone, especially the cats will be happy. For more information call: 646-1611.

To Fly or Not To Fly: Is Air Travel the Right Choice for Your Pet? Long-distance options for traveling with pets are limited. If you’re unsure about whether flying is the right decision for you here are some questions you should ask yourself.

If your dog is shy, frightened by crowds, aggressive, or suffers from separation anxiety, flying - or even extended travel with your pet -- may not be an option for you

Is your pet healthy? Flying can be stressful for a pet, particularly elderly pets and those with health issues. If your pet is physically or emotionally unwell or injured, it’s best to leave him home or postpone your trip.

Does your pet meet the USDA guidelines? The USDA requires that your pet must be at least eight weeks old and weaned for at least five days to travel by air.

Is your pet snub-nosed? Pets that are brachycephalic – those that have a short muzzle and a pushed-in face, such as Persian cats, pugs and bulldogs – often have more difficulties adjusting to different temperatures and air conditions, and can develop breathing problems on flights. Is your pet’s temperament well suited for flying?

Will your pet fly with you in the cabin or in the cargo hold? Every airline has its own regulations, but in general, pets that weigh less than twenty pounds are welcome to fly in the cabin as a carry-on. Do you have a health certificate for your pet? All airlines require you to present a valid health certificate completed by a licensed veterinarian for any pets that will be

Dear Computer Lady, I have a new computer and am still learning windows 8. It has been hard. I learned too late that if there is a document in an e-mail that I open up to read, I need to go back to the email to get this document off the screen. On some occasions I haven’t done this and the documents will pop up at any time and I can’t get rid of them. How do I do this? Thanks. Sue Dear Sue, It sounds like you are opening PDF documents and they are opening up in the Windows 8 PDF application. The best way to close the application depends on whether you have a touch screen or not. If you have a touch screen, just swipe with

~ Ask The Computer Lady ~ your finger from the top of the screen to the bottom to close the app. If you don’t have a touch screen, point your mouse cursor to the very top of your screen until the pointer turns into a hand. Hold down the mouse button and drag to the very bottom of the screen. The window will close as you do so Elizabeth Dear Computer Lady, Just got a new laptop and wondered if I need both AVG (I have the paid version) and a Malware program on my computer. Brenda Dear Brenda, There is so much Malware just waiting to get into your system, so it is a good idea to

have both anti-virus and antiMalware software installed on your computer. I have both AVG Internet Security and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware installed on my personal computer. The Malware program will protect you from hacking and phishing attempts along with different types of ransomware. Prevention is always less expensive than fixing your computer after it has become infected. Elizabeth Dear Computer Lady, I have Google Chrome also Century Link I can’t put anything in my favorites from Google Chrome but I can get to favorites. If I want to save anything I have to do it from Century Link. Is there a way to solve this? Audrey Dear Audrey, I am not familiar with Century Link, but I do use Google Chrome all the time. In Chrome, shortcuts to websites are not called, “Favorites.” Instead, they are called, “Bookmarks”. Here is how to create a bookmark in Chrome. 1. Open Chrome and navigate to the page you want to bookmark. 2. Locate the star icon in

the right hand edge of the address bar and click on it. 3. You can change the name of your bookmark, and select a sub-folder to store it in if you want. 4. Click the, “Done” button and your bookmark is saved. Elizabeth Dear Elizabeth, I am in the new world of Windows 8. Wow! Any tips to using this new planet would be helpful I have found some help sites, but you do things so nicely I thought I would ask again. Instructions for Windows 8? Bob Dear Bob, I would be happy to answer your questions about Windows 8, although I always do better answering a specific question about how to do a task, than just giving tips. I don’t have a Windows 8 computer yet. I do have the parts to build myself a new, Windows 8 computer in my workshop. I am just waiting for a clear workbench to build it on. But I will give you a quick tip that I discovered the other day. As you probably know, shutting down your Windows 8 computer can be tricky. You

have to hover your cursor in the upper-right corner of your screen, then when the charms bar slides out, you click “Settings” and then “Power” and finally, “Shut Down”. That’s a lot of hovering and clicking for something that you should do at least once a day. To make things a little bit easier, you can use the keyboard combination, Windows Key + C to slide out the charms menu, or press the Windows Key and the letter I to go directly to the settings menu. I hope this helps. Elizabeth Interested in learning more? Elizabeth has answered thousands of computer questions over the years. Anna Margaret Kearns, 81 Anna Margret Kearns, beloved mother and cherished nana passed away March 5, after a prolonged, but courageous battle. On September 11, 1954, Ann married Robert (Bob) Kearns at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Ridgewood. Ann spent most of her married life raising her four boys and her daughter. In 1973, Ann and Bob left New York and moved the family to Ogunquit Maine where, along with Bob’s sister and husband (Lillian and Jack Cropper), they purchased Maxwell’s Grocery and Hardware. After several years of running the business, the family sold the store and moved to a new home in Moody. Ann later went to work as a dispatcher for the town of Ogunquit. She formed many lasting friendships with her colleagues in Ogunquit and the surrounding communities. Her husband, Robert D Kearns in 2002, her sister Joan Hance and brother William Lovell, preceded Ann in death. Surviving are her daughter, Maureen Roberge and her hus-

goods, meatballs and flatbread pizza. Latin dance instructor Piotrek will be there again to teach a few steps early in the evening for those who want to pick up the basics. This year the dance will include a video production by local high school student Georgia Barlow of South Berwick, who traveled school vacation week to the Eben Ezer School in Milot Haiti. The video and slide presentation will include an update on efforts to build a guesthouse to help the school create its own income and train vocational students. York Rotarian Paul Salacain, who was in Milot in February, met with Rotarians there and investigated options for building a water tank and buying materials. Mike Lassel of Lassel Architects in South Berwick is designing the guesthouse. Salacain also helped build charcoal ovens. The first Caribbean Nights Dance Party was held in 2010 when the Eben Ezer School had only 100 students and four classrooms. Since then it has grown.

at the Hillside Cemetery in North Berwick is planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition, 499 Broadway, PMB 362, and Bangor, Maine 04401. Johnson Funeral Home is respectfully handling the arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.JohnsonFuneralHomeME.com.

Dozens of families in the Seacoast have signed up to sponsor students at the school, and through the dance provide the operating funds that allows the school to continue. The Eben Ezer School was started by Lucia Anglade, a Haitian American woman living in Long Island. It is operated by the non-profit Life and Hope in Haiti. More than six dozen families and individuals, most of them in southern Maine and New Hampshire, sponsor children in Milot in the name of the school. These donations of $220 a year keeps the school operating. A relationship that began in 2007 has blossomed here on the Seacoast. South Berwick and surrounding southern Maine towns have basically built the school, funding its growth from a three-room schoolhouse to an 11-room school with a kitchen library and a bathroom. Families in our community have now sponsored a third of the 300 children in the school. Bonnie Peterman from South Berwick has led the Rotary’s effort to support the school. Amy Miller, who also lives in South Berwick, got involved seven years ago because she had family in the Dominican Republic, and appreciated the grass roots approach to raising funds that resulted in tangible results. Three local Rotaries have provided funding for a generator, a school library and one Rotarian’s trip to the school. Now they have raised $50,000 for two grants that will send a container with solar panels, a water tank, carpentry tools and a generator for a vocational program. Teachers, principals and students in four schools in our community – including both public schools and the independent Berwick Academy – have made long term commitments to the Eben Ezer School.

Four Maine residents are now members of the board of Life and Hope, the sponsoring organization, including Georgia Barlow, a senior at Berwick Academy who will present a video presentation about her recent trip to Haiti at The Caribbean Dance Party. Dancing on March 22 starts at 8 p.m. to the great beat of Combo Sabroso, which plays a variety of Latin music, including traditional Afro-Cuban music and reggae. Combo Sabroso was formed in 1998 when keyboard player Matt Jenson, then living in Portsmouth, assembled the best Latino musicians he could find in Boston. SMHC to Partner with the Maine Coast Marathon Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) has announced its partnership with the Maine Coast Marathon to be held on Sunday, May 11. All proceeds from the event will benefit SMHC’s nationally accredited Center for Breast Care providing high quality, compassionate care for breast cancer patients. The race, which begins at 7:30 a.m. from Kennebunk High School,

The Maine Coast Marathon is a USARF-certified course. More than a quarter of the 2013 finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon. This

course has yielded three athletes qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and produced the fastest marathon time (2:15:13) ever run in Maine “We are excited about this unique opportunity to raise money for Southern Maine Health Care’s Center for Breast Care,” stated Ed McGeachey, president and CEO of SMHC. “More than 500 runners have al-

~ News ~ Italian living in the 17th century, who landed on ship and was exiled to be a sheep herder on an Irish mountaintop. He dreamt he wanted to save the people of Ireland from the druids and pagans. Somehow he escaped and went back to Italy, became a priest and, returned to Ireland to spread Christianity. “It’s said he banished the snakes from Ireland, but that only symbolic,” observes Lynch, referring to his eradication of paganism. She points out that Ireland is well know as “the land of saints and scholars.” St. Patrick’s Day is a national holiday in Ireland. Lynch says everyone goes to Mass, then heads to the pub for the rest of the day. When she grew up, the pub was the centerpiece of the village, usually adjacent to a store, a farm and a nearby church. “Men would stop by after work, have a few pints, and buy their chicken and head home”, she recalls. She says, at Mass on Sunday some would duck out after Communon and head to her family’s pub before the big rush. She grants the irish can be a superstious lot, confirming some of the old adages, such as an itchy palm means money is on it sway to you, a black tongue indicates you’re lying, and you can’t visit a house and leave without

...LYNCH from page 1 pub that transported me to the Emerald Isle. Surely no human could have accomplished such a massive feat. But maybe Leprechauns? I spied an odd little stature of one, perched behind the pub’s gleaming newly positioned bar, ready for this weekend’s celebration. Blessings, proverbs and witty posters decorate the walls, and an antique clock from Lynch’s father’s pub occupies a sacred spot near the bar. We sat at a table in the back room of this surprisingly spacious spot. Joining us was Frank Kenny, Lynch’s “significant other” who will be a visible presence at the pub this season. Kenny’s grandfather was born in Ireland, so with the two of them I was ready to talk about those Irish myths. But with the deadpan credibility of a teacher, Lynch declared: “There are no myths… They’re all real.” Leprechauns? Giants? “Of course, but maybe not now,” she adds. Stories and superstitions are another matter. Lynch, with occasional embellishment by Kenny, explained the patron saint of Ireland, the guy responsible for all the revelry this month. He was actually an

sitting down unless you want to risk peril. Lynch says when a farmer’s calf or cow died the Irish thought it was because of a curse, called “the Phisoegs.” But it’s the singing and dancing and clever witty exchanges that Lynch likes most about the Irish spirit. She laughs easily and believes in the practice of hospitality, which comes naturally to her. She looks forward to sharing good times with her customers this season, especially during the Sunday “seisuns” (pronounced Seshoon) reminiscent of a hootenanny, where people play instruments, and sing along. The Seisuns are led by professional performers and singers. (The granddaughter of Dave Clancy, who lives in New Hampshire, sang last season.) They will be held from 5p.m. to 8p.m., coinciding with the happy hour from 4p.m. to 6p.m., with discounts on draft beers and well drinks. The pub serves up Irish food, which incudes ethnic essentials such as fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, corn beef and cabbage, as well as new “Galeic burger,” with special seasoning and caraway seeds. (Lynch’s interest in nutrition is reflected in vegan and gluten free options, such as a Portobello mushroom burger.) If you visit, be sure to in-
