Ogunquit to Hold 25th Annual Patriots’ Day Celebrations OGUNQUIT Plan to be in Ogunquit April 17-19 for the Patriots' Day celebrations to experience an exciting mix of 18th and 21st centuries activities all throughout town! Pick up this year's Patriots' Day Guide Book found in area businesses and chambers for a full schedule of events – or visit www.visitogunquit.org. You'll catch sight of costumed characters from the past strolling around town and taking part in historical moments. Friday evening will pres-
ent a recreation of Washington crossing the Delaware (watch from Sea Chambers or the main beach parking lot). Meanwhile Sunday morning will offer the flag raising at Iwo Jima (Marginal Way, in front of Beachmere Inn) in order to remember and give thanks to all of those who have fought for our freedom. The Fife & Drum Parade will be hard to miss on Friday as it travels from Sea Chambers to the Ogunquit Baptist Church. The Fife & Drum concert at the church, will introduce you to the
Colonial heritage of song as the Patriot Fife and Drum Duo play traditional songs and teach us about the instruments used and signals given to soldiers in the heat of battle. Patriots' Day sales will abound among local businesses and vendors. The Ogunquit Memorial Library will celebrate with a book sale on both Friday and Saturday. Wilson joined the scouts as a Kindergartener. “Learning� and “fun� are two words that describe Wilson’s scouting years. As a scout of beginning rank he learned the basics of first aid and tying knots. When he graduated to higher ranks Wilson learned more advanced rescue skills and more complex knots. Wilson especially loved the camp outs, the weekend excursions with his troop and the weeklong experience with troops from all over Maine at Camp Hinds, in Raymond. Students from Noble Schools Earn Top Awards NORTH BERWICK – Students from the Noble school district earned top awards at the Maine State National History Day competition on Saturday, March 28 at the University of Maine Orono. Eleven Noble high school freshman, three 8th graders, and eight Noble Middle School students competed in this state-wide historical competition. Students chose a topic that connected with this year's theme of "Leadership and Legacy" and the type of category to enter: website, paper, documentary, performance, or
