Local Fourth of July Fireworks Displays

Trolley Museum Celebrates 82 Years KENNEBUNKPORT Founded on July 5, 1939, Seashore Trolley Museum is the world’s first and largest electric transit museum, located right here in Maine! Join them as they celebrate this historic milestone on Sunday, July 4. The first 100 guests to visit will receive a sweet, individually-wrapped treat made by Talula’s ComforTable as part of the price of regular admission. Seashore Trolley Museum’s mostly outdoor campus has been an appreciated venue for guests and families of all ages during the pandemic. Visit the campus Wednesdays - Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to take a trolley ride on the museum’s heritage

Wells Installs Memorial to Fire Chief WELLS The Wells Fire Department (WFD) recently honored its former Fire Chief, Wayne Vetre, with a memorial to him and his service to the town. Vetre lost his battle with lung cancer in July of 2019. His wife, Jacklyn Belmonte, worked with Town Manager Larissa Crockett, current Fire Chief Mark Dupuis, and Douglas Bibber of Bibber Memorial Chapel and Bibber Family Monuments, to create and install the memorial, which includes a portrait of Vetre, plaque describing his service, and custom-made helmet shield similar to one Vetre had made for himself. The memorial was installed at the Wells Fire Station this spring. A ceremony was planned but then canceled due to COVID-19 precautions. Vetre’s wife said, “I am grateful to Mr. Bibber, Chief Dupuis, and Ms. Crockett, for their knowledge, guidance, and assistance in the memorial’s
