Pecha Kucha Night Features Marine-Themed Presentations KENNEBUNKPORT Kennebunkport Pecha Kucha and the Landing School are teaming up for a special marine-themed Pecha Kucha Night Thursday, November 9, at Atlantic Hall in Cape Porpoise. Pecha Kucha Night is the popular series of short, creative presentations by local people and others. The Landing School in Arundel is a unique community college specializing in yacht design, wooden boat building, composite boat building and marine systems. As always, this PK Night will feature 10 passion-projects,
but this time they will be diverse, creative takes on ocean-related subjects, such as boat building, seascape art, ancient seabed fossils, dockworker photography,
the miracle of plankton, and more. The Pecha Kucha Committee is still seeking submissions related to all things marine.
Do you have a fish story to tell? Make sea-related art? Take marine photos? Have a passion for cooking seafood? Use your imagination. The committee interprets the theme broadly and welcomes diversity within it. Applying is easy. Just send 3-5 sample images, a brief bio, and short description to Pechakucha. kennebunk@gmail.com. The deadline for applying is October 25. Event night doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program starts at 7:20 p.m. Cost is $5 at the door. Launched in 2003 by two Tokyo architects, Pecha Kucha (Japanese for “chit chat) is a
short presentation format that focuses on creativity and the creative process. It was conceived to provide creative professionals and amateur enthusiasts with a place to meet, mingle and share their work and ideas. Each presentation is limited to just six minutes and forty seconds, so the audience is exposed to many ideas and a broad range of topics in rapid-pace succession. The list of possible topics is endless. The program consists of 10 short presentations, with a refreshment break after the first See PECHA page 5...

‘Adventure’ Makes Connections on the Seacoast SEACOAST For anyone unfamiliar with ‘outdoor education,’ you should meet Donald Gagnon of R.W. Traip Academy and Sally Gregory of New Heights, two educators who have made a living in adventure for years. Their respective backgrounds in—and love for—adventure and the wilderness has in fact created an opportunity for both to work together in recent years on a concept they have termed ‘The Experiential Classroom. “It’s an opportunity to get students out of their comfort zone and into wilderness, said Gagnon, who teaches physical education and has started an outdoor leadership program in addition to a First Responder

In addition to writing an essay for consideration to participate in the trip, students researched topics while in Utah and presented their finding to the School Committee. They also read and wrote journals about Edward Abbey’s book, “Desert Solitaire, in which the author discussed his time as a park ranger at Arches National Park. Other experiential classrooms have taken place since then as have various teambuilding programs for sophomores at Traip Academy with one taking place in mid-October at New Heights in Portsmouth. KENNEBUNK After a busy summer the Kennebunk Food Pantry shelves are low. Your help is needed. This Election Day, Tuesday, November 7, the Kennebunk Recreation bus will be parked at Town Hall and volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items, personal supplies and monetary donations. According to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, almost 200,000 people in Maine suffer from food insecurity—over 25,000 people in York County alone. Food insecurity refers to USDA’s measure of lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods. “There are many things that contribute to food insecurity in Maine and even here in the Kennebunks. We are not immune from people needing help getting enough food to feed themselves and their families,â€? said Karen Winton, General Assistance Administrator for Kennebunk. In our community, the nonprofit organization Community Outreach Services holds a produce pantry every Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martha’s Parish Hall located at 30 Portland Road in
Kennebunk. They provide perishable foods and baked goods donated from area stores and farms and during the growing season, local, organic vegetables grown in our community gardens. Volunteers at the pantry also make daily deliveries of non-perishable food boxes to the Town Hall in Kennebunk, the Town Hall in Arundel and the Public Health Department in Kennebunkport. Items that are always needed to stock the pantry include: canned fruit, vegetables and soups, peanut butter, jelly, mayonnaise, tuna fish, canned chicken and meat, canned ravioli and beef stew, oatmeal, cereal, pancake mix and syrup, instant mashed potatoes, Jell-O, instant pudding, macaroni and cheese, pasta and pasta sauce, rice and beans. Families also appreciate receiving granola bars, juice and crackers. Look for the Kennebunk Recreation bus at Town Hall on Election Day where volunteers will be accepting non-perishable food and monetary donations. Checks can be made out to Community Outreach Services. For details or to volunteer, contact Karen Winton in the General Assistance office at kwinton@kennebunkmaine.us or 207-604-1342.

scholarship to a student who is matriculating in environmentally relevant studies. For more information, email Elsa van Bergen at ejvanbergen2@gmail.com. ...ADVENTURE from page 1 venture and outdoor experiences into the curriculum at Traip Academy is “very exciting.” “When you can put students into challenging situations where they are forced to rely on themselves and one another, you have incredible teachable moments and learning opportunities,” she said. “Self-confidence, self-worth and the ability to look beyond themselves and gain respect for fellow students and their teachers are just some of the things we see out of students when they complete one of these programs.” For Gagnon, his collaboration with Gregory and New Heights is especially meaningful because he started out as a participant himself when the agency was located at the old Connie Bean Center. “I lived in Kittery and would ride my bike across the bridge,” he said. “I would do as many trips as I possibly could… They helped me stay out of trouble and helped me create who I am today as a person.” Eventually working as a senior staff member at New Heights during the summer while earning a BS in outdoor education, Gagnon said outdoor educational experiences enable students to develop skills that are relevant across multiple settings. “The ability to work as part of a team, leadership, communication—these are things that well-designed outdoor adventure programs can help develop in students,” he said. Having known Gagnon for decades, Gregory said the programs they have built together and he has built on his own at the school reflect the profound impact outdoor opportunities can effect in people of all ages. “When you can put kids into situations where they can earn their freedom, they learn the value of responsibility and accountability—not just to themselves, but to others, too,” she said. Gregory said the inherent difficulty of some of the adventure opportunities experienced by youth participants should not be overlooked either. “With our New Heights Adirondacks Canoe Expedition trip, these kids carry a 55pound canoe on their shoulders for a mile and a half over a rocky trail,” she said. “They go up hills and over rocks. It’s hard.” As a result of that experience, however, she said students learn something about themSee CLASSROOM page 9...

~ News ~ Ogunquit Rotarians Learn about Mt. Vernon Ladies’ Association
OGUNQUIT The Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association has accomplished much in its 160-year history. This organization has restored and preserved Mount Vernon since before the Civil War when 13 women raised enough money in private donations to purchase Mount Vernon from the Washington family, which had been unable to properly care for the property. Then, in the 21st century, the orga-
nization raised $120 million to build the George Washington Research Library nearby. Meg Nichols, who serves as the Vice-Regent for the State of Maine of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, shared details of the organization’s rich history with Ogunquit Rotarians at their October 27 meeting. Ms. Nichols is flanked in the photo by club president Bob Cruickshank and club member Connie Griffin.

pathy for their fellow students. They help each other when they are struggling. Those are life lessons they’ll never forget.” To learn more about the adventure program, visit www. newheightsonline.org.

revelation to watch as he worked. Yussel Rabinovitch is a young Jewish cantor performing at the synagogue of his imperious father. Yussel is married to his childhood friend, Rivka, and has settled down to a life of religious devotion to the teaching of his faith. But on the side, he writes songs for a black singing group, and when a member of the quartet takes ill, Yussel covers for him at one of their gigs by wearing blackface. The nightclub engagement is such a success but one of the patrons at the nightclub notices that Yussel hands are white and calls him out. A fight ensues and the band is arrested. Yussel’s father comes to the jail to bail them out but finds out that there is not a Yussel Rabinovitch there but a Jess Robin. Later his father questions him about that and Yussel tells him it is just a professional stage name he uses when performing. His father reminds him that his singing voice was to be used for God’s purposes not his own, and Yussel’s struggle to determine his true place in the world begins. Director Tanya West believes that Disney provides a wonderful opportunity to use our imagination, but that bringing those film stories to the stage is always a challenge. Capturing the essence of a Disney classic and translating the magic of cartoon to live actors, forces creativity, risk-taking and hard work from all involved. Seniors Skyler Amsden and Trevor Stanley are thrilled to be cast as Ariel and Prince Eric in their final district musical together. The MHS theatre has been a huge part of their lives and has been like a second home to them since third grade when they were both cast in A Christmas Carol. ~ Arts & Entertainment ~ “A Cappella Chorus” Raising Money for Trip WELLS The “Wells High School Select a Cappella Chorus” has been invited to New York City to be part of an elite international a cappella chorus performing in a concert event called Total Vocal in March at Lincoln Center. The large assembly of singers, without any musical accompaniment, is composed of about 200 students selected from schools in the United States and 14 other countries. As one might expect, the cost to transport and house the 14 WHS students and chaperones in NYC for four days is significant. Assisting with fundraising is the WHS Music Boosters, a parent organization that supports musical programs at WHS. One way to contribute to this effort is to dine at the York Harbor Inn in York Harbor on November 12 during the Inn’s “Dining to Donate “event held during brunch and dinner in the 1637 Dining Room. Health & Fitness Local Man Runs for Rare Disorder – Cornelia de Lange Syndrome YORK On October 8, Peter Wagner toed the starting line of the Chicago Marathon with thousands of other hopefuls. He participated in the race as a charity runner for Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), a rare genetic disorder that affects his 29-year-old daughter, Molly. Wagner ran this year’s marathon in honor of "Team Molly," Peter says, "Raising a child with CdLS takes a village. Our village includes our family, the Foundation staff, physicians, and Molly's caregiving team. Without this team, I would not be running. Without the Foundation, we would not be able to provide our team of caregivers with accurate information on how best to help us care for Molly." CdLS, a rare genetic dis-
order that affects 1 in 10,000 births and ranges from mildly to severely affected. Individuals with CdLS usually have similar physical characteristics including small size, hands and feet; thin eyebrows that meet in the middle; long eyelashes; an upturned nose; and thin, downturned lips. Some individuals have limb differences, including missing fingers or arms. The Chicago Marathon gives Peter the opportunity to do two of his favorite things, "running and raising funds for the CdLS Foundation. As an added bonus I get to tell people about my daughter, Molly, and educate them about the syndrome." He also helped raise $14,500 through his Chicago Marathon CrowdRise page. This contributes to the more than $40,000 raised for the CdLS Foundation through the
marathon. For more

Health & Fitness The Dangers of Sleep Apnea in Kids When you tuck your young children into bed each night, you probably let out a sigh of relief knowing they're safe and sound for the next (hopefully!) eight hours or so. But for some children—those suffering from sleep apnea— their "peaceful slumber" is anything but! This dangerous and under-the-radar breathing condition was recently covered in a popular segment on Good Morning America. Wholebody dentist Dr. Mark Breiner says that in many cases, a holistic approach can often alleviate symptoms and improve your child's sleep. "If your child has been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) or your dentist suspects a sleep-disordered breathing problem, holistic dental solutions can often provide relief," says Dr. Breiner, author of “Whole-Body DentistryŽ: A Complete Guide to Understanding the Impact of Dentistry on Total Health. Dr. Breiner says both obstructive sleep apnea and sleepdisordered breathing, which is less severe but still causes similar symptoms, are caused by an obstruction in allowing air into the lungs. Another related condition is central sleep apnea, which is caused by a problem with the brain itself, but in most cases this is not the cause of OSA or SDB. "Some of the less obvious symptoms of OSA or SDB in children are bed-wetting, aggression, chronic allergies, teeth grinding, difficulty in school, daytime drowsiness, excessive sweating during sleep, and more," says Dr. Breiner. "But the most frequent warning signs of potential sleep apnea in children are mouth breathing and, of course, snoring." Here's why mouth breathing can cause OSA or SDB in children: The average size of a child's airway is only 7-10 mm in diameter in children 4 to 10 years old. As a child sleeps with their mouth open, the airway is made smaller. Opening one's mouth just 1/2 inch decreases this dimension by approximately 6 mm, causing the tongue to be displaced posteriorly into the throat. A variety of other causes can lead to OSA or SDB in children and adults as well, including enlarged tonsils or adenoids, the tongue falling to the back of the throat, tongue ties, or improper jaw development. Many of Dr.
Breiner's holistic treatments can help correct these problems and ensure that your child's sleeping is safe and optimized. Keep reading to learn about the safe, gentle, and holistic approaches Dr. Breiner uses and recommends for treating OSA and SDB. Homeopathic Treatments. Nasal obstruction as well as enlarged tonsils can often be treated homeopathically. Dr. Breiner offers various homeopathic remedies to address these issues. Tongue-Tie Treatments. If a child is tongue-tied, meaning the tongue is tightly leashed to the floor of the mouth by the band of frenum tissue under the tongue, a simple procedure can release the tight tissue. For proper development of the jaws, it is important that this problem be addressed as early as possible. Improper jaw development often leads to SDB. So, what can you do right now to keep your children safe? Try these tips: Look for the warning signs of OSA or SDB. "Parents need to be educated about this potential problem and look for the warning signs in their children," says Dr. Breiner. "Go into your child's bedroom after they fall asleep and observe whether they are mouth breathing or snor-
ing. Remember that their snoring doesn't need to be loud for
it to indicate a problem; normal breathing should always be silent. Also listen for sounds of teeth grinding or of them talking in their sleep, and notice if they
are thrashing or perspiring. Any of these could indicate OSA or SDB." See APNEA page 20...

If you do notice your child exhibiting any of the symptoms of OSA or SDB, and you notice they are mouth breathing and/ or their tonsils are enlarged, try placing them on an elimination diet. To do this, remove all wheat and dairy products from your child's diet, as these foods may contribute to nasal obstruction. Dr. Breiner recommends a trial period of elimination of at least a month. If removing wheat and dairy in conjunction with homeopathic treatment fails, then referral for allergy testing and an ENT consultation will be necessary. Beware of prolonged pacifier use. Finally, parents of infants should try to avoid prolonged use of pacifiers and nipple bottled feeding beyond 6 to 8 months. Prolonged use may cause abnormal swallowing patterns and affect jaw development, thus causing the tongue to be too large for the mouth and causing it to impinge on the airway. ~ News ~ Waban Graduates Twenty-Three SANFORD Waban has announced that twenty-three children have started public Kindergarten this fall, having graduated from Waban’s Fraser-Ford Child Development Center. The ceremony took place at the Wormwood Banquet & Conference Center located just down the hill from the school. Inside the decorated hall, teachers called their students to the front, one by one, and presented each with the gift of a book and a certificate while positive growth and personal attributes were related to the audience of parents and families. Waban's Fraser-Ford Child Development Center addresses the needs of preschool children
with autism, developmental disabilities, severe medical issues, Downs syndrome and other developmental delays with the goal of transitioning to public school systems. The skills they learn will help to level the playing field when mainstreamed with other public school students. Special Education Teacher Brianne Westman spoke through tears as she admitted, “It’s a bittersweet celebration. I’m so proud of how much they’ve accomplished, but it’s so hard to say goodbye.” Several Creative Kids Daycare and Preschool children participated in graduation as well. The daycare is an important component of the Center, so that
normally developing children can participate in inclusive activities with the children who attend for special therapies. The Fraser-Ford Child Development Center is expanding with a brand new Autism Therapy Wing, slated to open in October, offering four new classrooms, a multipurpose room resembling a gymnasium, offices and therapy rooms. Over the course of one year, Waban’s children’s programs currently provide services to over 300 children and families throughout York County, giving new hope to the parents of children with special needs. With the growing demand for Waban’s specialized services, the new wing will enable Waban to serve more families, including

This soup is something different that you may like, give it a try and enjoy.
Directions: 1] Cut both ends off from the beets and peal with a potato peeler to remove the skin. 2] Peal carrots, remove the skin from onions, wash celery and cut both ends. 3] Cut vegetables into 2-inch pieces and place them into a food processer a bit at a time, so you can chop them finely. As the vegetables are processed place the shredded vegetables in a large pot that has a cover.

WEDNESDAYS $ 99

4] When all the vegetables are processed and in the pot, add vegetables stock and blend everything together. Add lemon juice, crushed garlic, and salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to simmer. Cover the pot and cook for 45 minutes. 5] When cooked, taste and add extra lemon or salt and pepper if needed. Break up any of the soft vegetables in the pot or use a food processer again to make the soup nice and creamy with some texture to it. A hand-held mixture works to chop up the soft vegetables. Start on low and gradually increase the speed and don’t wear your best shirt or it may have little purple spots on it when you’re finished. 6] Add milk to the pot and blend with a wooden spoon. Cover and bring to a boil. Let cool for 5 minutes and serve with a garnish of sour cream. This soup will have a bit of texture to it and not like a broth that you put through a fine screen. Enjoy!

~ Ask The Computer Lady~
Dear Computer Lady, Years ago I was able to have my downloaded pictures alternate every however many minutes onto my screensaver. I have been unable to get that started again. Would you know how? I have so many wonderful photos I would love to see throughout the day! Thanks! Ginny Dear Ginny,
I am going to assume that you are using Windows 10 on your current computer and give you directions for that. 1. Click on the “Start button (or tap the windows logo key on your keyboard) and type the words, Screen Saver. 2. In the search results, you should see an icon that says, “Change Screen Saver and beneath that it will say

“Control Panel. Click on that icon to open the screen saver settings dialog box. 3. In the screen saver drop down list, click on “Photos to select it. 4. Click the “Settings button to browse for the location of your photos, select the speed of the slideshow, and if you want to shuffle the pictures or not. Click the “Save button when finished making your selections. 5. Set the number of minutes you want to wait before the screen saver automatically starts. 6. Click the “OK button to save your changes and close the dialog box. Elizabeth Dear Computer Lady, I have read your e-mail for years and you have helped me a lot. I downloaded windows 10. On 8, I could right click on a web page and get ‘CREATE A SHORTCUT. I can’t seem to do that with windows 10. How can I create a shortcut on the desktop from a web page? Thank

you, Wimons Dear Wimons, When you download Windows 10, you also get Microsoft’s newest browser, Edge. It has replaced Internet Explorer. In Edge, you are no longer able to right click on a web page and use “Create A Shortcut. In fact, Edge only has two or three rightclick options. I have done a little bit of research and so far, the only browsers that allow you to quickly and easily create a shortcut on your desktop are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. In both Chrome and Firefox, you simply drag the small icon to the left of the address of a web page from the address bar to your desktop and it creates a shortcut. My wife would love to buy either Google Home or Amazon’s Echo etc. but again, I’ve resisted because I’m afraid of leaving our information and computers vulnerable. Are these services and devices safe or am I just being paranoid? Thank you, Sal P.S. We connect our computers via a free public wifi hotspot; We live across the street from a park. Dear Sal, As I read your email, I was getting ready to tell you that services and devices like Cortana, Google Home and Amazon Echo are fairly safe, but it depends on your comfort level. Then, I got to the end of your message and learned that you connect through a free public wifi. Your information and computers are more vulnerable because of that public wifi connection than they will ever be if you used Cortana, Amazon Echo or Google Home on a secure, password protected wifi network. There are easy to use software programs available that allow people on public wifi networks to view the web pages you visit and even hijack them. Another example is that a criminal could set up a fake wifi hotspot that looks

She’s a shy girl and is hoping for a nice, quiet home where she can blossom. She loves to be with her canine friends and has had a blast in her daily AWS playgroup and has made friends with lots of other dogs. She would love to have a nice canine brother or sister in her new home, one that is confident and outgoing and can show her the ropes. But most of all, Kix wants a happy home, where she is showered with love and attention from her new people. She has lots of love to share and can’t wait to find a family to love her in return. As she is a bit of a wallflower, she probably would do best in a home without rambunctious children or lots of noise and commotion. Kix is a 4-and-a-half year

Safe Haven Humane Society WELLS Zeus and Marley don’t remember when their home wasn’t at Safe Haven. They’ve never had a real home, and have waited over five years to find out what one would be like. These two short-haired tiger/white males are quiet, shy, and sweet. They’re totally non-demanding, quiet and healthy. Peaceful and contented, they’d love a home that’s like them, somewhere they can simply relax and enjoy the love that only someone like you can give. They arrived here as fearful strays. Over the years they learned not to be afraid of people. Their new family will

Hackers can also use the unsecured public wifi connection to plant malware on your computer, or cause pop-ups to appear on your computer that will trick you into installing the malware by pretending to be an upgrade. parting a feeling and atmosphere, and passion and sensitivity with soul. Second prize went to Josh Axelrod of Roxbury, VT. Josh had works of various subjects that imparted depth and mysticism. Gerald Robillard of Harrisville, RI, was 3rd prize winner. With a large display of boats and ships, Gerald’s works portrayed “angles and energy in the storms. His detail of ships' ropes was superb and looking at his paintings was like “smelling salt water. It was a great day to stroll and take in the art culture; still very much alive in one of Maine’s oldest art colonies. For details, call the Ogunquit Chamber at 207-646-1279.

Shortly after the kickoff Caroline Starr (Rye, NH) shot the ball and it rushed towards the goalie like a shooting Starr. Proctor’s goalie deflected the ball, and Aaliyah Farid (Hampton, NH) was there to rip the rebound, also saved by Proctor. Fast-forward 2 minutes and Starr raced down the field with determination, and ripped another shot, which found it’s way to the back of the net. In the 12th minute Proctor got the equalizer off a corner kick, and the Bulldogs were tied 1-1 going into the second half. In the 53rd minute Proctor got their second goal off a corner kick and headed it home for a 2-1 lead. With the torrential downpour on it's way the match was bound to get ugly quick and the Bulldogs were chasing the game. In the 59th minute Rayne Zimmermann (Exeter, NH) played a ball through the Proctor defense and a perfectly timed run sent Aaliyah Farid in on a breakaway and with composure she tucked it in to tie the game 2-2. In the 71st minute Aaliyah set up Starr on the top of the 18, who beat her defender and blasted one into the net to earn her second of the game and get the Bulldogs the insurance goal they needed.
The Bulldogs kicked off Blue and White Weekend with a 4-1 win vs Portsmouth Abbey to improve to 12-2-1, and clinch a spot in the EIL tournament. Berwick came out strong with a goal in the 3rd minute when Caroline Starr (Rye, NH) set up Aaliyah Farid (Hampton, NH) on the corner kick and Brayden Reed (Dover, NH) headed it home. Kelsey Rizzo (Kennebunk, ME) had some key saves in the first half including one point blank stop that kept the Ravens off the board in the 28th minute. It wasn't until the 36th minute when Berwick got on the board again. This time Christine Gardella (Haverhill, MA) played a great ball to Caroline Starr (Rye, NH) who broke into the 18 and blasted one in to make it 2-0 Bulldogs. In the 39th minute Gardella would get her second assit on another great through ball this time to Rayne Zimmermann (Exeter, NH) who increased the Bulldog lead 3-0 going into halftime. Berwick had a slow start to the second half and Abbey started to gain momentum and create chances. In the 64th minute, Abbey got on the board on a defensive breakdown bu the Bulldogs. The game finished 4-1 Bulldogs.

Starkey Ford Celebrates 50 Years Working With Ford Credit!
YORK Starkey Ford in York recently reached a milestone with Ford Motor Credit, a successful 50-year partnership. Starkey Ford was one of the very first Ford dealerships in Maine to sign up with Ford Credit for vehicle financing in 1967 and has been with them ever since. Ford Credit executives from around the country joined
the celebration at the dealership with a special award, plaque and party for the entire staff and family of Starkey Ford. General Manager Steve 'Hoaty' Houghton said the Starkey Family and staff is “proud and thankful to be an integral part of our community right in the same location since 1955 and is poised for many more decades of success."
Habitat for Humanity Supported by Foundation KENNEBUNK Habitat for Humanity of York County has received a grant of $20,000 from The Joseph and Anna C. Dias Family Foundation to support Habitat’s Quarry Road Build in Wells and the Habitat ReStore in Kennebunk. Charles and Shannon Carter and their two young sons have been chosen as the Habitat Partner Family for the Quarry Road Build. The support from the Joseph and Anna C. Dias Family Foundation assists Habitat for Humanity York County in building the Carter’s energyefficient, accessible home and addressing affordable housing challenges in York County. Design for the Carter’s home include features that make the home wheelchair accessible including no-step entries, wider doorways and hallways, an open floor plan, and roll-in shower. The Habitat ReStore in Kennebunk is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center. The ReStore sells new and gently used wooden furniture, appliances, building materials, hardware, cabi-
nets and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. The purpose of the ReStore is to contribute to the affordable housing work of Habitat for Humanity York County. Foundation Representative Janice Dias said, “My uncle, Joseph Dias was a resident of Massachusetts but developed an affinity for Maine while sta-
tioned here during WWII. He owned a condominium in Wells and vacationed here for decades. He created the foundation to improve the lives of children and we are pleased to assist in building a home for the Carter Family." For more information, visit www.habitatyorkcounty.org or call 207-985-4850.
