Oldest Structure in Ogunquit Brings Community Together Written by Brittany Davenport Contributing Writer OGUNQUIT One of the oldest standing structures in America has reopened to the public, with new owners, renovations and a supportive community. The Black Boar Inn, in Ogunquit, is ready to welcome people from all over the world. “It’s part museum, part family and home, and also a place for people from all over,” said John Joanette, the co-owner of the inn. extra space. Also, there will be an extra day of display, which allows for even more people to enjoy this amazing event that is as anticipated as Christmas morning itself. If you want to know what magic feels like, if you want to know what magic looks like, all you have to do is attend this family-friendly event that is sure to please the young and old alike. Entry to the event is completely free and a voluntary donation of a non-perishable food item or a monetary donation that supports the York Food Pantry is suggested. Foster’s will be filled with

Today, the inn is owned by its fourth family, John Joanette and Dwaine Underwood, trees, every size, every shape, every color and every theme you could imagine - and probably some that you’d never imagine and if you’d like to take a chance to win any, the raffle tickets are only $5. for 25 tickets. All of the proceeds raised from this event help youth who are involved with the Maine foster care system, and so far the Festival has been able to help countless youth with items that they wouldn’t have be able to obtain otherwise. Annual Christmas Celebrations Deck Local Communities

Black Boar Inn’s logo designer Virginia Souza was also in attendance. “The owners are wonderful people, they have me over for things and allow me to put my artwork in this house,” said Souza. The owners invited people who not only helped to renovate the inn, but also are now very good friends.
