Festivities kick off on Friday night, December 10 and conclude on Sunday afternoon, December 12. Friday night’s events include caroling and s’mores in Perkins Cove, concluding with a tree lighting, sponsored by the Ogunquit Parks & Rec Department and the Ogunquit Rotary Club; an A Cappella concert at the Baptist Church; and the
town tree lighting at Veteran’s Park. Visitors and residents alike will have a wide variety of happenings from which to choose
on Saturday. Signature events include the annual Christmas Parade presented by the Town of Ogunquit; Ogunquit Ocean Rescue Polar Plunge to benefit
Toys for Tots; bonfire on the beach; and a fireworks display at the Main Beach, sponsored by The Front Porch Piano Bar & Restaurant. Children of all ages have two ways to visit with Santa on Saturday. Those who are comfortable seeing Santa in person can join him and his elves at the annual arts-and-crafts show at the Fire Station. For those who are more comfortable with a socially-distanced visit with Santa, the jolly chap will be moving to Bangor Savings Bank’s drivethru window. Other Saturday activities
include shopping at the artisan craft fair at the Dunaway Center and listening to popular holiday tales at Story Hour at the Memorial Library. The Reindeer Round-up Scavenger Hunt and the Seaside Scavenger Hunt will give friends and families alike plenty of opportunity to explore Ogunquit’s local independent retail and restaurant businesses. of valuables. His mother also caught an unknown man taking Reeves’ mail from his post office box. She took a photo of him, but he hid his face with his hand, avoiding being captured on film. Last month, after years of inactivity, Kittery Police Detective Brian Cummer decided to officially reinvigorate the case with the hope that the public will be able to help bring the surviving Johnson family answers as
to what really happened to their brother. To help get the word out, Kittery PD has teamed up with local Maine true crime podcast, “Murder, She Told”, created and hosted by Kristen Seavey. In early November, Seavey spent time with the Kittery PD, and with the permission from the Kittery Chief of Police and immediate family, was given access to all files regarding this cold
case. Additionally, Seavey has met with Reeves’ brother, Hugh Johnson, his sister Sally, and her husband David Swartz, as well as Detective Cummer. A special episode of the podcast titled “Missing: Where is Reeves K. Johnson III?” is available now at www.murdershetold.com/episodes/reevesjohnson. See CASE page 4...
