4. Try to rest the ink cartridge diagonally so that the opening, from where the ink comes out, doesn't completely touch the paper.

5. Now fill the sink with hot water and clog it so that the hot water is filled the only 3/4th of the basin.

6. Keep the ink cartridge in the sink so that the part from where the ink comes out is in the water. Also, make sure it gets past the surface of the water.

7. If the ink comes out immediately then it is not terribly clogged, else, wait for 20 minutes or so for ink to come out.

8. Now dry off the ink cartridge so it's no more than the damp and put it back in the printer and give it a test run.

Take precaution while taking the ink cartridge out of the sink as some ink may drip out. Also, be careful to use hot water. You can always use gloves and apron while performing this task.
