Exhibition Hall of City Construction
For the city and the residents
Individual academic work Date: Apr --Jun, 2012 (3th year) Location: Workers' Cultural Palace,Changsha, Hunan province, China Building Amount: 1 Scale: 5000 ㎥ Key Description: This design focuses on planning and integrating new architectural styles in older areas of Changsha city. It is expected to consist with the surrounding buildings, people's livelihood and cultural context of the region, with the goal of effectively improving the chaotic architectural style and positively influencing the residents' lives .
Issue Introduction Urbanization in China has negatively affected the urban landscape and the lives of people. Historic buildings are in danger of vanishing, and tall buildings have changed the cityscape and created a sense of alienation among people. The construction base is surrounded by a number of old buildings and landscape features such as artificial hills, ballrooms, and old streets. As a result, the view of the city from the construction site is in disorder and lacks a sense of coordination. Insufficient public space prevents residents from communicating with each other. In addition, the residents rarely pay attention to the surrounding urban environment. The project aims to solve these issues through architectural innovation.

Wing of bat
cooperative academic work Studio: Long-span structure research&design Date: Mar - May, 2013 (4th year) Project purpose: Explore cable structure for basketball court Groupwork role: Stucture design, detail design, model making&drawing
Concept — wing of bat
Summary
The pillars slightly tilt to the center under the weight of the big double-circle, which indicates the effect of both gravity downward and side thrust toward the center. As the weight in the center increases, the dip angle of the pillars increases. The damage first occurs in the connections between the cable ends and the ground, the nails being pulled out, however, the integrity of the structure is maintained without damage to the whole.
Construction Process
First, build 6 vertical transmission member
Disperse force by horizontal transmission member
As the support of heavy roof, the 12 wings is connected by both inside and outside cables.
Finally, the whole structure is stabilized by bearing cables andstable cables.

In the district, public places come into being as needed which are small and scattered.
The base is located in a riverside area, close to Husong Bridge, which offers a beautiful sightseeing spot to the east riverbank of Zhuzhou City. It's location adjacent to an industrial area makes the base functionally chaotic. The area along the river is not efficiently and fully utilized. Water within the base area is polluted by industrial and mining enterprises located at the upper end of the river. The east bank of the river is an old downtown area and the main part of the city where different types of infrastructure facilities have been well developed. By contrast, the west bank of the river is a new area that has been developed over the past few years, mostly for residential use. A large number of industrial facilities and small workshops are crowded in this area. Numerous houses built by farmers, as well as many farm fields, occupy the large living space.

Problem
What is our attitude? & How to solve the problems?
Ecological pollution
In the industrial area, public space is extremely limited and is scattered based on demand. Thus, we decided to establish solutions for the identified issues to provide guidelines for city planning. First, the operative goals of the entire base are defined based on practical problems. Second, measures are proposed to achieve such goals. Finally, these measures are consolidated to plan functional areas of the base to achieve the initially expected benefits.
Scatteration of public places
Lack of pubulic facilities
Target Purification of rainwater
Enhancement of waterfront vitality
Recovery of cultural facilities
Development of function variety
Measures 1 Collect rainwater for Plant irrigation 2 Establish networks for rainwater collection 3 Form filter strips by planting for rainwater purification 4 Purify contaminated soil by plants and the reclaimed rainwater
1Analyse site elevation and then fine-tune the terrain to guide the direction of rainwater flow. 2 Build wetland system. 3 Establish quickdrainage channel.
1 O p e n u p r a i n w a t e r purification and recycled water purification exbihition halls. 2Construct education and training base.
1 Coordinate colors of the city and the site. 2 Control the height of architectur in the site.

Reclaimed water is separated for Rainwater or flood water is managed locally through flushing and irrigation to reduce the practices such as stopping, slowing down, and filtering to complement the natural water resources of the base. In consumption of drinking water. this way, sediments and pollutants can be filtered out of rainwater and flood breakout risks can be reduced.

University Hospital Design
Individual work Date: Oct--Nov, 2013 (5th year) Building Amount: 1 Scale:11200.3 ㎥
Issue Introduction The design of hospitals in China is mostly focused on function and utility; sustainability and humanity are rarely taken into account. This project focuses on reconstructing the HNU Health Center’s outpatient building, which is located at Hunan University. Hunan University, an extension of one of the four famous Academies of the Song Dynasty, is situated at the foot of the picturesque Yuelu Mountain and on the west bank of the rippling Xiang River in the historically and culturally renowned City of Changsha, capital of Hunan Province. The design aims to not only enhance building’s functionality, but also make efforts to creat a connection between hospital and the scenery around it, which can brings about positive effects on people in hospital.

Concept The design is firstly based on a principle of modernism, form follows the function. On this basis, the design of hospital street can create a bright and vibrant atrium space, while divide function areas more clearly. The architectural form is further enhanced through sight, which blends aesthetics with natural environment, providing optimal conditions for patient care.

Architecture for your body and mind Individual academic work Date: Aug - Dec, 2014 (1st year of graduate) Project purpose: Explore how to begin a project from a small part of your building, the relationship between different parts of building and joints Key discription: A place which can help people contemplate should be a place which can provide people the opportunity to get in touch with the nature and a sense of wonder. People in this building can touch and feel water, stone, light and plant, which are common elements in nature. A nice architecture should make contribution to urban life too. This building provide public spaces in different scales.l People here can have talk and play in the riverfront area.
