BIOGRAPHY WEI-HSIANG LIN, I was born in 1990 in Taipei, Taiwan. I have still remembered that when we were junior school pre-graduate, we had faced a critical choice which is vocational school or high school. At that time, My parents only said “Chose whatever you want”, then I immediately applied for Design major. To be honest, I was not studying hard while f irst few terms of school but I always found the projects which I interested in during the f inal year and put my effor t in it. Overall, we were absorbed a lot and also thrived. After graduating from college, I was honored to work as a visual merchandiser in IKEA. We had to arrange details about the visual display, like the style, background, color, material, and lighting etc. Sometimes we work with others team, making a decision and implementing. We also must be able to handle projects by ourselves. I was commissioned a rebuilding program after working a year and a half. “It was really exhausting” but when I saw my idea was put into action, I was satisf ied enough.

Photography | Introduction

IN TROD UC T ION I love recording every thing surrounds me with photography, like people, item or a piece of matters. We are able to freeze time through the lens, connect our memories with images. Capturing the stories of people who are in the picture. Imagining and experiencing the adventure which we haven’t had.

VISUAL DESIGN Collec tive memor y

Visual Design | Introduction

66

IN TROD UC T ION From a person to a group, collective memory is the collection of senses, the f low of emotions, the alternation of experiences, and the evolution of consciousness. The purple quar tz is the highest spirituality crystal. It symbolizes mystery and wisdom, and develops the deepest but highest potentiality. We feel and stack our memory. Through the purple quar tz, we return to our real spirit. In this immense universe, we met, opened our hear ts, tempered, had cohesion and triggered the deepest power step by step. Collective memory is a procedure of creating, cooperation, the story of interweaving, and the orbit of journey inside our hear t. This is our child, precious collective memory, in our hear t. The intrinsic bud inside our hear t is going to blooms.

Collective memory is the collection of senses, the f low of emotions, the alternation of experiences, and the evolution of consciousness. It was shared, followed, and constructed together in a group. We have talents, construct shapes, match colors, listen to sounds, and create feelings. In an inf inite and ex tension world, we read and listen to each other, inf luence each other and bump into each other. Collective memory is beyond one’s feelings, thinking, effor ts, and insistence. Let’s explore the possibility, resonate the dream and explore the deepest conscious and energy. Let’s trace back, pass down the present, and light the future. Theirs, Yours, Ours, In 2012, our collective memory.
