Destiny Villalobos
Destiny indulges in the reminiscence of the 2000s chic-era from her hometown of Houston, Texas. With the bizarre to classy choices inspired by her mother, Destiny presents to you the revival of brown fabric and faux fur era. Her creation comes with a strapless brown dress adorned with an off-theshoulder faux fur top. Alluding to the sense of feeling, with viewers intrigued to perceive the softness of the faux fur.
Caylene Augustin
Caylene’s creation features her first attempt at engineering: fully articulating wings crafted in PVC pipe with interchangeable covers. Starting off as a personal project and into a runway piece, Caylene designed a cover inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus, the boy who flew too close to the sun.
Christina Andoniades & Charlotte Corbitt
Designs made by sophomores Christina Andoniades and Charlotte Corbitt, inspired by the colors fo the earth.
Hanae Barnett
Hanae Barnett grew up in Texas, but was raised with a Moroccan and Spanish culture. Drawing inspiration from her mother’s own designwork and experience growing up in Morocco, Hanae’s latest collection pays homage to her rich cultural background.
In this intimate collection, Hanae bridges the gap between the rugged charm of Texas and the visually stunning traditional designs, patterns, and colors of Morocco. Each piece serves as a fusion, combining the iconic silhouettes of western cowboy attire with the intricate motifs and colors reminiscent of Morocco.
From the rugged yet refined menswear, echoing the spirit of the Tuareg people who roam the Sahara, to the feminine grace of the women’s pieces, inspired by the enchanting attire of traditional Moroccan belly dancers, every garment in this collection speaks to the diverse tapestry of North African culture.
Embracing the essence of traditional casual Moroccan clothing worn by men and women alike, Hanae’s collection transcends geographical boundaries, offering a captivating blend of cultures and styles that celebrate the beauty of diversity and heritage.

Get ready to turn heads with Perla’s fabulous fashion creations! Perla introduces 3 pieces. The first being “Tejano Wear” a nod to Texan and Mexican western vibes. A stunning flower corset paired with a denim skirt, complete with classic cowboy boots and a stylish “Tejana” felt hat. It’s a look that effortlessly blends Western fashion with a more modern look.
The second design channeling the vibes of the early 2000s, Perla brings back the halter top trend tied flawlessly over a denim skirt. But that’s not all! Inspired by the iconic Bratz dolls, the hair and makeup add a playful touch.
Last but certainly not least, unleashing her outgoing side with the “Leopard Look.” Embracing boldness and individuality. Picture yourself rocking an allleopard print top and skirt combo, paired with stylish fur accessories like a bucket hat and matching boots. It’s fierce, it’s daring, and it’s sure to make a statement on the runway!
Xingying Zhang & Stephanie Ma
In honor of our Chinese intangible heritage of “zārǎn“ or tie-dye, we decided to incorporate this element into our dress. We use the allure of the vibrant colors to captivate the human eye along with the use of “Xiāng bāo” or a fragrance sachet of Jasmine scent to create a sensory olfactory experience.
We wanted to have this dress be representative of our model, Jasmine, whose dreams are bold and full of energy. Dreams are not confined by the rules of reality, they are boundless and vivid that pulsate with life and energy.

Jessica (Luxiao) Wang
The moment a girl puts on a wedding dress does not mean she has to lose her individuality/original self.
Johnathan Alonso
This design tackles sound, sight, and touch. As from afar, it would look like a regular embroidered dress until you get up close and see what it’s actually made out of. Not to mention, the jiggling sounds made from this piece as the model walks in it. It cautions you to not touch as the blades are known to be sharp.
Lauren Armstrong
Abstract and unorthodox, the hand stitched patchwork designs by Lauren Armstrong are made to show the potential of recycling fabric and breathing a new life into wasted material.
Maggie Yan
Vaguely inspired by Asian fashion and Western European fashion, this design is a modern take on the collaboration of two different fashion styles. Elements of both the Chinese hanfu and an 18thcentury European dress. This twopart layered dress and its flowy side pieces pay homage to the Chinese hanfu, while the corset is inspired by the corsets worn as a part of a dress in 18th-century Europe.
Paloma Rao
Rachelle Hu
These two dresses are inspired by the sights, sounds, smells, and silhouettes of water. Where one dress captures the essence of the ocean and her shores, and the other blooms with the verdant allure of forests.
Yoshi Martinez
Sustainable fashion is the next wave in the fashion landscape. These pieces capture that movement and essence of Mexican culture while simultaneously creating sustainable clothing. Each piece was made from recycled material, even the sewing machine I used was donated.
