WONDERLAND JUN. 2017 - JUL. 2017 Team Work - Team Leader WONDERLAND is a entertainment facility that combines paper model and AR game. Designed for two-child family, it aims to develop kids’ communication and cooperation capabilities through setting up goals and work in a team.

BACKGROUND RESEARCH
QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF TWO-CHILD FAMILY
VR/AR met the wide space of development in 2016. Goldman said in its report VR/AR hardware revenue will be $80 billion in 2025 and change some fields like entertainment, healthcare and education.
It shows in the research with sample capacity of 30,000, done after the policy came into effect one year later.
Use an axis to show the relationship between VR and AR:

RECENT HALF China has brought the one-child policy * to an end in January, 2016, and then fully allowed couples to produce a second baby. It means that the era of two-child has come formally.
* The launch of the one-child policy is based on the population boom in China in 1970s, joined by little farmland and weak economy. It aimed to limit the quantity and improve the quality of population, and achieve sustainable development.

The boom of two-child family can be predicted, however, many parents are unable to do well in dealing with the relationship among two children, since they themselves barely have sisters or brothers, the very important family ties. In this case, the solution to the problems can be rather significant now in China.
VR Have a good immersive experience, give the user a feeling of actually being there by 3D graphics and new interactive. Used range is limited by environment and equipment. Have some negative impact to children’s cognitive ability and physical safety.
AR Equipment can be used independently, with low influence by environment, have a wide used range. User can interact with real environment, have more fun and safety. Lake a strong sense of immersion. The technology is under developing.

The interview target is divided into two groups: the families with a new member in recent years, these parents know the childish issues and solution; adults who have sisters or brothers, we may inquire how their relationship changes as they grow up together.

He enjoys imitating me and getting close to me. The endless quarrel is stoped while we have a common interest. We treat each other well while traveling.
FINDINGS
I used to focus on firstborn at the beginning because had no plan for the second one. Game for two children playing together is hard to find on the market. It would make the firstborn feel the sense of achievement to care for the younger brother. I can merely probe myself since I am the singe child with no experience.

SCENARIO ANALYSIS
By the persona, we experience the feelings of the target users in specific scene by role playing. The flowing are one positive scenario and one negative.
The sister goes back home alone, parents get younger brother home.
The two children fight for TV remote.
Mom blames the sisiter and requires her to give in to her brother.
FINDINGS In this way, we found that the common target can encourage the relationship between the two children. At the same time, the appropriate guidance can more encourage the relationship between the children than blame merely.

Through the above research and analysis, we get a lot of interesting points. By summarizing, we can get the following three insights from different view: Sister experiences expectation gap after brother born Chinese parents used to put all energy on their only child, but after the birth of second, sister felt ignored because of parents were tied up with brother.

We use paper and plastic sheet to make different size sketch models of AR module. And determine the suit size by testing on different basesďźŒ like camera, gun‌ On the basis of these sizes, we design paper model that was suitable for use by children.
By testing, we can determine 55mm diameter of the screen and 15mm width of ring is suit to AR module. Focus on children, mellow shape is more attractive and safe. And we choose magnetic connection, due to safety and convenience.

GENERAL RULES Lead two children to help each other, key links has to cooperate. Emphasized the concept of sharing, weakened victory or defeat. Following Monster Biubiubiu as example.
WORLD VIEW Basic principle: Elysium is a highly developed magical and technological world, it take magic power as the main source of energy, and the magic power can divide into ICE, FIRE, WIND and THUNDER. Background: Malcan is a clever and mini race, they live in this world happily and peaceful. One day, Nero appeared in this world, he turned half of Malcans into little monsters by curse. Peace-loving Malcans are not good at fighting, they had to retreat. At last, the rest of Malcans broke space barrier, appeared in this world, sought help from human. Story line: Now, Malcans invent a weapon which can restrain Nero, but only kindest human children can unleash the power of the weapon. They give the weapon to players, hope players can help them to cure their people who become monster, and beat Nero.
GAME MACHENICS This is a tower defense game. Base on AR, it put little monsters in environment. Players can remove the curse by shooting, and different kinds of bullet have the different effect. Multichannel enemy: There are multichannel enemy appear in the game, it need players collaborate to defense. Static recover: Player can keep still in an area to recover hp, so other player need to prevent him from monsters. Jointly attack: At sometimes, players can attack the part be assigned to cause a large harm.

Xi’an Bus Stop Redesign NOV. 2016 - JUN. 2017 Graduation Project This project is my graduation project, it based on the situations of Xi’an, redesign the bus stop in Xi’an. This bus stop provide a barrier-free way for the elderly to get on or off the bus. Some of the facilities in bus stop are also designed for the elderly, like seat and stop board.

BACKGROUND RESEARCH
Because of maintaining low birth rates and longer life expectancy in China, the aging problem worse in recent years.

As transportation demands increased, the aged used public facility more. Compared to other facilities, bus has higher used frequency as the main transportation mode of old people. In some time, the aged become the main user of bus. But the design of bus stop is not keeping up to speed. It become a big problem to old people due to the lack of accessible design and universal design.
By convention, an aging society refers to one with more than 10% of its population older than 60.
According to the government statistics, the population of Chinese aged over 60 years old has reached 230 million by 2016, comprising of more than 16.7% of total population. And it will increase to 36.5% by 2050, become one of oldest countries in the world.

Now the aged are much healthier in the past. But less old people live with their children, lonely because a big problem for them. So more old people choose to go out and participate in social life.

In same distance, the text for young people need to double size to be recognized by old people. And old people can temporarily blinded in glare.
Hearing loss mainly show in loss of high and low frequency. Make it difficult for the aged to react fast to the surroundings change.

Old people strength and flexibility are declining, their range of activity is very limited. And their anthropometry data has a large change.
Because of retiring and physical powers declining, old people lack of way to realize value, become self-abasement.

In this question, the majority select 10-15min, and some of bus more then 30 min. Most of old people think waiting time too long. Therefore, construction of Xian bus stop has some problem.

Based on these users, I design a questionnaire and asked 102 people, it include 61 the aged, 19 office workers and 22 students. After analyzing, I select part of the data to show.

Most of people choose it is not easy, include all the old people. It shows the serious problem of the visual of bus stop. And some interviewees think it is hard to recognize the information.

The majority think boarding bus with crowd is most pain. It is easy to have accident at rush hours, more than one old people had fallen down when boarding. 50.9%
INSIGHT By questionnaire, I was told most of users are not satisfied with bus stop. It need better user experience when long time waiting. The problem focus on boarding difficulty, visual system of bus stop and public seat.

PROBLEM OF BOARD
The bus stop with shelter can not work well in keeping the rain off from waiting to getting on. It has a negative effect on waiting experience. To weak old people, it will cause disease in rain day.
The place of stop board is too high or too low to read. In layout, the choices of typeface and font size overlook the feature of old people. And the words is too close to recognize, eventually in night.
PROBLEM OF SEAT
PROBLEM OF LIGHTING
The seat have a great problem in human factor. Some is too hight to the elders, but the other is short to most male. In addition, seat is metallic. It is cold in winter. To weak old people, it will cause disease with long time sitting.
In the bus stop without lighting, it is hard to see barrier and information clearly. And dark bus stop has a large luminance difference with in-bus, which will lead to old people blinding temporarily.

The problem of Prototype A is that it is difficult for the elderly first using touch screen. However, we can use dynamic effect and video to guide them. Prototype B use icon to guide user operate, but it lead detail information appear by three lines. Part of content outside the best area, and block too much information. And it is necessary to add a down button in order to people who sit on wheelchair.

INTRODUCTION This bus stop based on the situations of Xi’an bus, solve the problems when the elderly take a bus, and take a good experience to all users. For surface, it be used low saturated and low reflective material to prevent the elderly from visual stimulation. And for accessible part, it be used high specific heat material to give user more comfortable experience when environment is too cold or too hot.

Provide 350mm and 450mm height seats. It make different height people can have a comfortable experience. And can guide the elderly can sit near the place to get on. As for material, it it be used engineering plastics to prevent too cold or too hot because of environment. 1500mm
The way from sidewalk to bus stop conform to barrier-free design specifications, and the height of bus stop is same as bus. The elderly and disabled users can get on or off the bus easily. To other users, it is also a convenient experience.

BENEFITS Micro Electric is a set of service system, it place in populated areas through cooperate with nearby store. Combine with hardware and software, users can enjoy convenient charging service. The line chart show the transformation from traditional TV into smart TV is an inevitable trend. Traditional TV content is single and lacks function. Smart TV content is rich, have more convenient interactive way. The box is cheaper, but functions not equal to smart TV.
Compared with international brands, local brands have less innovation on interaction mode. Most of brands do not support gesture, and do not have a good voice-operated experience.

Optimization and improvement In this project, we redesigned the interaction of Xiaomi TV for the inconvenience of remote operation mode. Based on the pain point, we mainly optimized the interaction for voice and gestures: Use gestures operation; Can pop up a voice assistant at any time; Intelligent operating system.

RĂŠveiller AUG. 2015 - SEP. 2015 Individual Project RĂŠveiller is a coffee maker with sleep monitoring function. It can wake up the user by sound and smell of making coffee in the morning. And the sleep data can be reflected in the coffee concentration. By this coffee maker, user can start a day full of energy.

CONCEPT CREATIVE
OPPORTUNITY User can’t get useful information or help from sleep monitoring equipment. Nowadays, there are more sleep monitoring product on the market, because of people’s attention. However, most of product merely provide data, although users can’t understand and get help. So most of people give it up after using for some time.
COMBINE SLEEP MONITORING WITH COFFEE MAKER Wake user up by voice and smell when make coffee in the morning. And respond sleep quality by concentration and color of coffee. If user sleep not well in the evening, a cup of espresso is necessary, and if user have a good sleep, a cup of water is suitable.

IDEA Use translucent coffee bean pot design to make it easier to see the remaining amount of beans. Combine coffee bean pot with water inlet to enhance user experience in adding water process. Put cup in three sides surrounding to prevent coffee from knocking over.

Transform boring data to visual sense, auditory sense, smell sense and taste sense. Help users understand their own sleep and have better condition.
Combine coffee bean pot with water inlet, and design it to funnel-shaped. Enhance user experience in adding water process.
Coffee cup put in three sides surrounding, it is safe when user don't wake up feeling refreshed in the morning.
