Spaghetti Dinner Tradition Continues at La Floresta

After 10 years of serving a spaghetti dinner to the residents of La Floresta Park in Mercedes, Jean and Rodger Vanderville (Manistique, Michigan) decided to call it quits. Through the years, they have served between 75 to 115 dinners each time, with the help of a crew of seven. Good food, fun, and laughter were also on the menu.

Jean and Rodger are involved in a variety of events at La Floresta and focus their time and attention on golf and other activities. Meanwhile, Darla Strait (Sanborn, Iowa), Debbie Tufnell (also from Manistique), and Bonnie Kadell (Jerseyville, Illinois) have offered to take over the spaghetti dinner next year.

We have some of the kindest people you will ever meet in our small park in Mercedes! • hilly terrain of his farmland home in Iowa. He needs a Trackchair that is made for such terrain, which is not covered by insurance. With needed accessories, the cost of the Trackchair is $17,500.
