39th Annual Causeway Run & Fitness Walk April 15

Locals from around the Rio Grande Valley are excited about the 39th Annual Causeway Run & Fitness Walk. The three-mile walk and 10K run will be held April 15 starting at the Port Isabel Community Center. The 5K walk will end at the Padre Bali statue, allowing participants to enjoy a calm stroll across the causeway and enjoy the morning hour over the Laguna Madre Bay. For the runners, the course will end at Louie’s Backyard. This is the perfect training opportunity to see how well they fare with the 10K course with the incline of the causeway.

There will be winners for first, second, and third place in women’s and men’s categories. Everybody participating will receive a custom medal to commemorate crossing the bridge. The walk will begin at 7:00 a.m., and runners will follow 15 minutes after. The first 1,500 participants to check in will receive a commemorative shirt.
