We will create a standard listing from your website but you will need to complete the forms and return to webupdates@ yorkshire.com along with up to ten high quality images. Images Make sure you send your best images in high resolution. A picture tells a thousand words, they grab attention and they can inspire.
Words You can use up to 750 words to promote your business but the most successful entries keep it to around 350 words.
Social If you use social media, let us know so we can add it to your listing.
Contact Make sure your web page shows your full contact details and website. Make sure you let us know if you have a preferred booking link or go to yorkshire.com/advertising.
Events and offers Add offers and events using your unique login details. Our events and offers pages receive over 1.5 million page views and they also inform our social media channels. It’s a great place to feature your business.

We promote Yorkshire through our award winning marketing campaigns and by attending key events such as the Great Yorkshire Show and RHS Chelsea Flower Show each year plus many other events and festivals.
Since the start of Welcome to Yorkshire in 2009, we have continued to showcase the Welcome to Yorkshire brand both in and out of county to put the Welcome to Yorkshire brand front of mind. As a member your business can benefit directly from this work.
We bring world class sporting events such as the Tour de Yorkshire to the county putting Yorkshire firmly on the world map.
Inspirational As a member, you have the opportunity to be included editorially in our inspirational printed campaigns such as our Y magazine as well as our themed guides and trails. You also have the opportunity to work with us at key events throughout the year.
You can display our internationally recognised Welcome to Yorkshire members plaque. You will receive a window sticker and logo (below) to use on your promotional material as well as a Y badge to wear with pride. Welcome to Yorkshire Membership terms and conditions By joining Welcome to Yorkshire as a member, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
7. Upon cessation of membership no part of any subscription paid shall be repayable to the former member.
1. Welcome to Yorkshire expects all members to maintain the highest standards of service and professionalism, and to enhance the reputation of Yorkshire as a tourist destination.
8. Welcome to Yorkshire may choose to terminate the membership of any member that:
2. Members should maintain and operate their premises and/or business in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements. 3. All members must pay an annual subscription as determined by Welcome to Yorkshire, payment is due upon receipt of invoice or via monthly or annual direct debit. 4. The minimum period of membership is 12 months, members will receive a letter in the post the month before renewal notifying of the 14 day renewal period. After this time your membership will automatically be renewed and payment due, unless we receive notice in writing that you do not wish to renew. 5. After the initial 12 months membership and after the renewal period has passed, members are required to give three months notice in writing to terminate their membership – a cancellation fee to the value of the three months will be payable. 6. Membership is not transferrable.
f ails to pay their subscription or fee to Welcome to Yorkshire within three months of it becoming due;
ceases trading or is dissolved;
i s deemed likely to bring Welcome to Yorkshire into disrepute;
f ails to provide an adequate standard of accommodation, thereby generating complaints that are to the detriment of Yorkshire’s hospitality industry.
9. Welcome to Yorkshire is not obliged to accept any application for membership or give any reason for refusal. 10. Members are provided with the services laid out by Welcome to Yorkshire in the description of the membership benefits. Members may be charged a fee for such services and be subject to additional terms and conditions. Welcome to Yorkshire reserves the right to refuse or remove such services without assigning any reason. 11. Members providing accommodation must agree to sign up to the Welcome to Yorkshire Quality Charter which can be found on yorkshire.com/membership 12. Only current membership plaques and stickers should be displayed. If membership lapses, plaques, stickers and logos must be removed from display.
