Every season brings with it its very own atmosphere, fashion and event type. Fall is my favorite. After surviving the heat of the summer, it is relaxing to just chill the last quarter of the year. Football buzz, long sleeve button ups, and plenty of social gatherings with delicious food, the last quarter of the year fills me to the brim with anticipated excitement.

Joe Money– Back to School Tour– Stillwater, OK Another year, another trophy for the always winning Joe Money, as he celebrated his 23rd birthday. The real celebration, however, was the new addition to his family, his new born baby girl. Right after Mr.Money & myself were introduced, the first words out of his mouth were about his daughter. It was obvious he is a proud parent and intimately acknowledges his new responsibilities. I had decided I wanted to do a follow up on the Oklahoma celebrity after reading his interview article from WLD's July series. The article stated that his birthday was the 30th of August which was only a week or so out form the time I got to sit down and read the article. He was to be performing at the Moose Lodge in Stillwater,Ok for the Back to School Tour on the night of his birthday, so I made the drive from the city to Stillwater to chill with his crew for the night. I stopped to visit my Grandmother on the way into town, and accidentally stayed longer than what fit into my schedule. Upon arrival to the party, I missed Joes' performance and was lucky enough to catch up with him before he shot out. As I mentioned, his first words spoken were about his daughter. After that, it became all business. They don't call him Joe Money for nothing. Much of what he spoke was in the langue I like to call 'big figures'. Although business and professional, he addressed me on a personal level and made me feel as though we've known each other. I happened to be at his opening act for Kirko Bangz, as I was there supporting another local Oklahoma based artist, Ieshia Thomas, but The Back to School Tour was my first time getting to meet him. After reading his July interview I made the mistake of viewing him as cocky. I don't know why, but I guess that's the way the article came off to me. But after spending the evening with him and his cool crew, I realized that the 'cockiness' I thought I read actually comes from a legit confidence that is quite humbling. He seems to be a good guy, with great talent and believes in working hard for his success.
I made sure to purchase a copy of his new EP 'T.I.M.E' (True Intimacy Matures Emotions). I haven't made it to listen to the CD yet, but the title itself was a seller for me. Shout out to Joe Money, his partner Jordan and the rest of his crew for their time. It was appreciated.
Devin the Dude– #SummerSelfieParty– OKC 8/24-2014- As I sit down to intimately recapture yesterdays Devin The Dude show, I find myself still trying to come down from last nights level. Club Mangos was floating on the clouds August, 24th. From the first moment I walked into the building, the environment began to elevate me. Being my first time to attend an event at Mangos, the facility itself exceeded my expectations. The layout of the club was very tasteful. As I meandered around the club looking for a spot to post up, I also scouted the crowd for familiar faces. My date and I easily found a comfortable spot in the mix. The crowd at the party was sexy and friendly, and we all enjoyed ourselves as we anticipated some entertainment. After a quick trip to the bar, and a little mingling, the show began. When the mic cut on, the crowd began to move. Oklahomans aren't afraid to stand up and show off their talent. The opening acts were able to raise the roof and set the tone right in preparation to soon welcome the finale. Mangos was stacked high with entertaining performers and active DJs. Although everyone kept the club in motion, the Night Light Title goes to Xavier Martin. His stage presence and clarity were captivating and I believe those to be the factors that brightened his shine for the night. All of the entertainers were able to keep up with the energy in the room. They also helped create an excitement in the crowd that pleasurably welcomed Devin The Dude to our stage. And then the clouds dropped as we reached our peak of our evening. Devin The Dude emerged and lit up the stage with his dope personality. As we began floating to the sky from ecstatic inhalation, Devin kept us grounded with his humbling countenance. As he performed songs such as 'My Draws', 'Almighty Dollar', and 'Anything is Plenty', he kept reality in check as we chilled on the clouds in dream land. Shout Out to Sir Ushind Spears ENT. and Live Legacy Events for the enjoyably spectacular and safe evening. With a special thanks to each individual who came out to have a good time. Every-
#WelcomeHomeSmart– Go Getta Money Gang in Stillwater Ok I have to give a personal 'Thank You' to We Live and Direct Magazine for giving me the opportunity to experience my first ever college-populated club-based party. It was crazy! It is absolutely and experience that I recommend. Also my first time at Tumbleweeds of Stillwater, Oklahoma, my doubt for an eventful night was shot down as the club giddied-up to full throttle. So far, events that I have covered for this magazine have been events that I have chose to cover. My coverage for my night at Tumbleweeds was actually my first assigned event. I was finally getting to put in work. I was in a 'work' mind frame for the night, but the turn up was so live that by the end of the night I didn't want to go home. My favorite things about the facility was the huge dance floor and the outside VIP section. Tumbleweeds had a comfortable mixed crowed, and people were pouring in by the minute. The place got pact with beautiful faces, and even though I hadn't psyched myself out for the night, I began to enjoy the vibe. I got to spend some exclusive time in VIP with 'Go Getta Money Gang'. I let my publisher do most of the mingling as I wanted to shadow her lead and learn from the best. Amanda is one of the most sociable and professionally responsible people I know. She knows how to make things happen. "Go Getta Money Gang' had a bang of people in their group, and their gang came all the way from Amarillo, Texas. One of the guys in the group stated "They love us out here mane!' I loved watching Amanda interact with the group as I sat back and did my own viewing. From what I say, 'GGMG' are more than just your average people. The moves they make aren't local moves, the jewelry I saw wasn't typical and their interaction with us as well as the crowd was an amped up version of anything but average. I have to give a shout out to the hype man. I don't know his name, I don't even know if he was part of 'GGMG', but from the first moment I saw him in VIP he was crunk af'. I've never seen a hype man so hype. Besides the fact that he was damn near 7 foot tall with shake 'em dreads, his energy was unforgettable. If you were at the party, you know who I am talking about! While back stage, I ran into an Oklahoma artist whom I've never had the chance to meet: Castro Da Realist. He was the shows opener and I was pleased to met him. I love meeting Oklahoma artists! I was able to get my hands on TWO of his CDs and soon realized that I already had one of them in my collection. I also made it home with a CD from one of 'GGMG's members: PLAY BOII FRESH - titled 'F*ck My Lif3 / For3v3r My Lov3' Those 3 CDs, including Joe Moneys EP 'T.I.M.E' will all be reviewed and posted in next months addition! 'GGMG' moved the crowd with some bangin' tracks. It was obvious the crowd loved them. They had the club 'goin' while the gang was 'gettin', and as I watched the hype man in action, I realized I was actually glad that I stepped out for the night.
The more I work with artists, the more I realize there is A LOT of resources that are out there that most of them know nothing about…. So, we have decided that every month, we will publish different resources that artists can use to boost their careers. So each month look out for blogs, A&R Lists, Music festivals, and much more… #WLDMagazine Staff

Special Event– Rip the Runway Fashion Show– OKC
Aren’t all women fanatics for fashion!? I know I am, and if that is true for you as well then I hope you were in attendance August, 31st, 2014 at The Purple Martini for the 7th annual Rip the Runway Fashion Show! You read that correctly, this was their 7th! Annual show! When I heard that announcement, I started wondering where I have been for the last 6 years! The event was brought to you by 9ENT, Teon, Teesh and Corey Dionte. The show was in fact such an exciting experience, I am anticipating their 8th annual show. I had purchased my tickets in advance and had no problems at the door. We were gratefully greeted at the door, and the door-man’s energy set an embracive mood to our night. My girlfriend and I were already excited, but once inside we became enthused! I have been to The Purple Martini before, and personally adore the club. The set up and structure of the club is accommodating to a variety of expectations. We were early enough to have some elbow room before a great crowd filled the building for the show. Chairs lined the runway for the VIP guests, and my girls and I were lucky enough to help fill the seats.
The fashion was tasteful, and the amount of product that graced the runway was more than expected. The man on the mic, who happened to be the door man, kept us laughing all night. He also vouchered some great giveaways! We completely enjoyed ourselves and the fashion for the night and will be keeping our eyes peeled for more events hosted by 9ENT, Teon, Teesh and Corey Dionte. Thank You for the great night!

J Whaley
J Whaley is most notably known for being a singer but his musical talents extend past the old school microphone that he melodiously uses to produce his soulful yet bluesy sound. J is also a songwriter, producer, actor and model. He is a native of Blytheville, Arkansas but has made his home in Nashville, Tn. Being the youngest of 3 children and the son of a pastor, musical and spiritual grassroots run deep throughout his family. He started playing drums in his father's church at the age of five and sang in the church choir. In junior high he sang in the school choir and joined a rock band called the Chimpunx. His senior year in high school J was apart of a contemporary gospel group called Christianality. Music truly runs deep in his blood but he is very big on academics as well as athleticism and being physically fit. J Whaley graduated Magna Cume Laude from Lane College in Jackson, Tn with a degree in Business Management. He was apart of the 2005 SIAC Conference Champion Winning Basketball Team at the power forward position. He later received his Master's Degree from Tennessee State University in Education. J’s style has grown over the years to what he classifies as “New School” R&B/Soul with a little “Old School” sound of Blues. He continues to expand and master his craft through music and several different instruments. He plays drums, keyboard and has recently added the acoustic and electric guitar to his repertoire of instruments. Not only does he have a love for music he also has a BIG HEART and love for children. Mr. Jeremy as he is known to a lot of youth is always there to do whatever he can to strengthen, educate and mentor the youth. Coming from a strong Christian background and having his parents as major influences in his life, he knows the value of instilling good values in our youth. He is a proud sponsor of Soles4Souls and The March of Dimes. J Whaley is currently working on his sophomore album and has released 2 singles toward this project. His first single that includes a video entitled “SETTLE DOWN”, is produced by 2X Grammy Award Winner Mr. Shannon Sanders. His second single on his upcoming cd is entitled “GROWN MAN THOUGHTS”. Both singles give you a tease about J Whaley’s upcoming project and what “Real Grown Men” think and do when they are ready to make “Grown Man” moves in life. When J released his first CD entitled “The Service Station” it gave his fans their first taste of what J Whaley's music was all about. His passion for a plethora of music genres, allow him to expand his music vocals across the world of music. He has shared the stage with several main stream artist such as Eric Benet, Eric Roberson, Kenny Lattimore, Elle Varner, Chico DeBarge and The Kindred Family Soul to name a few. His greatest influence is Prince but he also attributes his sounds to Bilal, Kim Burrell, BB King, Johnnie Taylor, Al Green and Marvin Gaye. J is currently in the studio working on his upcoming CD with several great producers and an amazing team. He’s also working on a few soundtracks for several upcoming plays and Independent films. Staying busy is his middle name so please continue to support him as he continues to give back to his community through his music and educational expertise. Starting out as a group called Square One with his brother Jimmy Payne, Rich started ALL RED ENT(ALWAYS LIVE LIFE REAL EVERY DAY Entertainment) . It started out as two young men with no studio and no help, just literally a dollar and a dream recording on a cassette with a karaoke machine. The grind never stops. Steady making moves. “I have done so much stuff just get my foot in the door. I sold tickets to get in VIP, I became a camera man just to get backstage and network. That's the difference between me and other artist. I do because I refuse to fail. I do because nobody took me serious. I out work everybody, even my team. I lead by example. I started with nothing now I rap, I sing, I shoot videos, I record, and I mix and master my own stuff. So the only I have left to say is if you don't know now #JustWaitOnIt” All Red

From winning Coast2Coast showcases in Austin, TX to being invited to attend Music Experience hosted by Drumma Boy & Mp3waxx during NBA All-Star Weekend in Miami to the Dub Show Tour in Dallas, BFG has been busy. Following the success of the first BFG mixtape "The Game Cho$e Me" hosted DJ Smoke from BFG artist Swazy McVay, the 2nd mixtape is sure to follow in the same footsteps. Acquiring sponsors such as GoodTimes USA, Supa Unit, Ozone Vodka, & Power 103.5, Billionaire Flyy Gang has recently released its compilation mixtape in August "FRONTRUNNERS" aimed at making another statement to artists, fans, and people that may not have heard of them to let the world know its a Oklahoma Takeover. BFG consists of 5 artists: Ant G'z, DJ Chevy A, Jtara Blacc, Stunna Stack'z, & Swazy McVay, who all have different styles, different deliveries, and unique wordplay. Ant G'z is the singer/rapper who talks about real life situations and often club music, DJ Chevy A stands for DJ Chevy Awreadyy who is a DJ/Artist who addresses worldwide real life issues coming from the eyes of a lady, Jtarra Blacc is the lyrical poet/artist whose trials and tribulations through life speak through her music and bare witness to other women as well. The newest edition to BFG, her mix of R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, & Pop music have all molder her into the artist that is presented today. Stunna Stack'z is the lyrical/trap rapper whose gritty style, unique voice, and witty punchlines make him a force to be reckoned with in the hip hop game. His style is unique in that he can paint a picture with his lyrics that can lyrically walk you through whatever situation he's rapping about. Swazy McVay is the youngest out of the group but has been rapping for many years. His unique style and flow is what the game has been missing and is sure to turn the head of somebody looking for unique talent unlike any artists you've heard so far in the game. Along with CEO's Andrew "Philly" Crawford, Dan "D'Goodz" Goodson III and Gee Flyas, BFG is an army better yet a navy force to be reckoned with. All these artists can be found on Twitter, reverb nation, Facebook, and Instagram if you google their names.
