The Reward
As you take part in the Adventure, you will earn digital badges as well as prizes that can be collected from your local library. These prizes may include collectible pins, stationery, books, ice cream vouchers, and more, as well as tickets towards one of our Grand Prize draws at the end of the Adventure.
Terms and Conditions
• The Summer Reading Adventure is open to tamariki (5-13), taiohi (13-18) and pākeke (16+) in the Wellington region.
• The Adventure ends at 11.59pm on 31 January 2025. Books read and challenges completed after this date will not count towards earning prizes.
• Grand Prize winners will be drawn and notified over the first two weeks of February 2025. All decisions are final.

Setting out
Every time you read or listen to a book, make sure to log it on the website or app.
Follow up your reading log with book reviews – written, drawn or filmed. Let other readers know why they should pick up the book you’ve just loved (or why they shouldn’t).
Each time you reach a new milestone in your reading or review log, you’ll earn a digital badge to mark your progress. Some badges come with prizes to collect from your library!

Diving deeper
Everyone’s Summer Reading Adventure is different, so once you get started, you choose how to play!
Younger readers will be able to complete themed quests that will get you exploring your back yard, your library, and the many beautiful outdoor destinations our city has to offer.
More experienced readers can use our curated lists and challenges to discover new reads beyond their usual horizons.
