ANNIE’S ANTICS with Annie McDonnell

ANNIE’S ANTICS with Annie McDonnell

The author I choose each month is one that I believe was born to shine - this month I want to introduce the smart, motivational, inspiring, and wise author - Meg Nocero.

I use the Proust Interview model to learn more about authors. I ask ten of the thirty-five questions. The Proust model is a way of learning more about a person beyond the typical interview questions, and what we learn is typically new, fascinating, or something you would never even think to ask. This is how we learn more about their character.

Q: What is your idea of perfect happiness?

A: In my life, there is constant changing in what I am looking for in regards to perfect happiness. Each decade can be very different. Right now, I love being with people that are like minded, and that align with my visions of the world. I also love to be around people who believe in manifesting.Having conversations with people that are excited about life because it will lead to seeing things from different perspectives, really interest her. I like listening to someone that’s gonna make me say “Wow! I can benefit from your perspective“ as a whole, though I believe we are all connected.

Meg believes in the “karmic give-and-take” and “the generosity of spirit” and reminds us, that you need to be a receiver, as well as a giver.

We are the maestro of our own life.

Q: Which living person do you most admire?

A: My father. He is the first cardiologist in Florida to do the balloon. He’s always been an incredible inspiration to all of his daughters. When I lost my mother, someone he had been with since he was fifteen, he kept moving forward and learned to do this by telling himself “I can do this”. That’s when I realized if he can do this, I can do this too. Because of him I was not going to give up.

Q: What is your greatest extravagance?

A: Oh, of course, my tiara, my bling. I like to be fancy and pretty and gorgeous dresses with the fancy materials. It is such a romantic notion you spend time putting yourself together and you find that you hold yourself differently and you receive your experiences differently, as well.Once I told my daughter, Ava, don’t touch my wedding dress.

Q: Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

A: “Ask, believe receive” “If you do not ask, you will not get” “Listen to people, be a channel” I love using the word intentional. That is one of my favorites.

Q: What is your most treasured possession?

A: my children definitely my children they might not be my actual possessions, but they are my most treasured Michael here’s my heart warrior, and Ava entered the world like a proof of magic.

Q: Which historical figure do you most identify with?

A: Joan of Arc because of her passion and vision, and how she followed through to save so many people. But, no one says it better than Oscar Wilde - “Be yourself, everyone else is taken”

Q: What do you most value in your friends?

A: As for me, I never met a stranger. Friends are family.

Q: What is your motto?

A: “ Butterflies, get ready to dazzle. I believe in you” One of my favorite quotes by a friend: “When we cross each other’s paths and we see each other’s soul to soul, we are here to walk each other home.”

“There is your Bliss”BE LIVE (believe)"

“I’m so proud of you” something her mother would always say
